    New Kluger

On ya guys, It all sounds good. Yes the it was all the extra gadgets that convinced us to get the next model as well. Weve been looking at three cars, the territory, tribecca and the kluger and quickly narowed it down to two, the terri or the kluger. We decided the kluger for several reasons a couple being that the terri is a bit dated and when trying to option up to the same spec level as the kluger it just didnt make sense in getting the terri. Also the terri didnt have a couple of the safety features that are standard on the kluger plus there was no option for a sun roof which came standard in the kluger. We werent too fused about seating arrangements because it seems pretty flexible and can work for us. The CX9 would have been interesting to see though,... but we didnt want to wait. I dont think the kluger should be effected by the same engine issue as the rav ( hope not any way ) as it sounded like it was an engine management issue, the computer?. Only one more week to go until we get ours. ( fingers crossed)

    New Kluger

Cograts on picking her? up thursday. I cant wait.......it will be 2 months by the time we get ours. Let us know what you think. Ours was a fleet price, thats probably why it was such a good deal, but we still had to do a lot of wealin and dealin from the different dealers to get the best possible price because the fleet people wanted the three best quotes. Eventually Terry Shields did the job. If you work for a large organisation or have an ABN you may be able get some sort of fleet discount.

    New Kluger

Still waiting for ours, hopefully only another couple of weeks away. We ordered AWD Grande, Mettalic Paint, Aero roof racks, HD tow pack, front and rear park assist, mudflaps, front tints, floor mats for around 62K drive away. When we compared to the other manufacturers the decision was easy. For what you get nothing came close.
  4. Are there any new kluger owners out there........if so what do you think so far. Were still waiting for ours.....
  5. I think it depends on how good the crimping or soldering is. Crimping if done well is reliable, fast, and is easier to undo connections in case you have to pull something apart. If not done properly its prone to movement and dust invasion which can cause intermittent connections. Personally I always solder and use heatshrink tubing to protect each individual connection. I strip the wires then twist them together along the same horizontal plane then give them a good soldering, keep everything still to make sure you dont have a dry joint. When finished the joint should be shiney silver in colour if its dull its probably a bad connection. Slide the heatshrink over the join and apply heat to shrink for a tight it, which protects and insulates the connection. Once I do all the wires I cable tie the bundle together that results in a solid bundle of wires that wont move in a hurry. You need a bit of room though. I even solder my speakers in. Never had a problem and Ive done many installations.
  6. Yes but a TT will go a hell of alot faster than any kluger. 245kw compared to 200kw. Take the bung out of the twin pipe on the TT that ford has put in and you get 260kw. Who doesn't want to get the shopping in a flash? Yeah you wont get an arguement from me on that one, but 200kw is more than enough to get me into trouble so Im happy with that. Youve got to draw the line somewhere and too much power and speed isnt always high on the list of priorities for a family SUV, for me anyway, besides its too easy to loose your license these days, less temptation the better. Anyway if thats what he likes good on him I reckon, I can imagine hes put a lot of work into that 11sec TT and would sure leave a lot of people scratching their heads after seeing the dust from a set of lights. Id sure like to see him give it a squirt one day.
  7. Yes its fast, but will it get you out of trouble as quickly as it gets you into it. The new Kluger is a better vehicle, youve got to remember what your buying here, a family SUV not a drag car, if you want to go that quickly your better off with a more purpose built car. You wont be going that fast from a showroom turbo territory, thats for sure.
