Sorry mate It's actually a Camry. Australia is the only country to have that car named Aurion, to the rest of the world it's the good ol Camry. Except the states there V6 is in the gen6 camry body cause they have the solara as well.

Ummm strange you mention proglems with the gen4 power seeings as both your cars have the exact same engine (5sfe).unless your older car was a gen2 with a 3sfe but I'm relativily sure they were discontinued in 92 so that's unlikely. Soo my guessing is that your gen 4 has a problem of some sort otherwise they would drive in a very similar fasion. But that all being said most 4 cyl Camrys are completely gutless anyway (Espescially AUTO'S) so as you mentioned your far better of with a V6. Speeking from experience here I've owned a few different Camry's a gen2 I4 manual a gen3 I4 auto wich I sold within a week cause it was so gutless and my old gen2 drove better, and my current gen4 V6 manual which as much as it's no skyline or rex has plenty enough power to keep me occupied esspecially if you open it up a bit with a few mods here an there. So all in all if ya wanna keep your gen4 there's probably something wrong with it that needs attention otherwise move on and go to a V6.

Hey everyone :) After many months of waiting and painfully driving a car with a hole in the windscreen and more pits than a golf ball i finally have my car back in good order :) (see post Destroyed if ya don't know what I'm talking bout ) In fact it's far better than when I bought it years ago and is probably better looking than when it was first built due to the body kit and ******* which havn't been there for that long. I managed to convince the panel beater to respray the entire car and I also tracked down a spoiler (All at insurance expense.Not that they know that HEE HEE) seems I truly am a scammer :) Also every little ding,scratch and bit of worn paint is all perfect shiny new.I LOVE IT! HA HA I LOVE TO DRILL INSURANCE THEY SO DESERVE IT! Anyway I'll throw up a pic of the Cam Reborn and you'll see why I am so rediculously happy caus after all, this only cost me $500 (Excess) and my old windscreen was shot and being replaced for rego anyway so really I'm only bout $300 out of pocket if you minus the money I already had for that. The only bummer was the grafix that were on the car before have been thrown away with the old bonnet and doors but ya can't win em all i s'pose. I'll re-lay some in a couple a months when the paints finished curing.

Looking good champ ! Is that a custom job or a pre-fab ? Oh and have you noticed much more tork with it or is it much the same as before.

Hi I was just wondering if anyone knows if all the V6 gen4s & 4.5s have the same wiring harness regardless of the particular model. I'm currently just trying to install the clock of a higher model but when I had a look at where the wiring connector would be all I found was a tied of group of wires covered with a seethrough red rubber thingy that may well be what I am looking for, I'm just not sure.I didn't want to frig around with it to much untill I'm sure in case it was a sensor or something else important. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Yeah it happend mate.Total damage comes up $6357.00 It hit every single panel of the car also completely smashed the window wipers corner lights site mirrors and the extremely expensive GTP mesh grill which for some reason no insurance company will recognise as the 6th part of the GTP Sportivo body kit. Luckily it missed the headlights which I only a few days before swapped out for some gen 4.5 ones. There really is to many pics of the damage that I didn't think it was worthwhile posting any cos I really wouldn't know where to begin (even though I said I would before). Just normal service till 100 000.Check drive belts ,change sparks and all normal service at 100k also check brakes etc. Timing belt every 150k. Clutch may start to go around 200k depending on how hard you drive.(mine did ooops) This is how my manual reccomends for a V6 though so if it's a four banga I'd say it's much the same but I'm not possitive. Hey mate.The base of the back seat is incredibly easy to pull out. All you have to do is give the thing a really forceful pull.There is two small little steel hoop thingys on the underside of the base,roughly where the cloth trim is and they just clip into two receivers on the body of the car.You should be able to slowly pull your way around the base of the seat and get a bit of lift on it.As you do this you will begin to feel a bit of resistance where the hoops are.Then just yank it out at those points. It worked for me a couple of years ago when I started re-doing the interior of mine so hopefully it'll work for you to

This is a photo of my car which has been punished by the biggest freak hail storm I have seen in my entire life.This photo was taken the day before this storm that hit the mojority of the mid north coast and has destroyed so many cars that I couldn't honestly give you a estimate of the total damage done.Fortunatley for me NRMA insurance should fix all the damage to my car in the near future so I geuss I'm one of the lucky ones.I'll post an image of my now smashed up car shortly and you'll see what a few thousand dollars worth of natural disaster looks like.
