    ECT & O/D

Damn LOL ,my Gen4 5 speed does 130km at 3K rpm :P Must be the gen3 gearbox that runs so high :(
  2. The body kits are still avaliable, but are in no way cheap. best bet is Pacific Toyota as they ussually have the goods. http://www.pacifictoyota.com.au/p_acc_camry_36.htm Just remeber to buy the right one as there's two different types to match the dfferent stock bumpers. The only other changes between the series are updated headlights and tail lights and a few interior changes like colour ect. The best way to tell if it's an I4 or a V6 is the badging.
  3. ^^^ Welcome to Australia factory ride height. and as for the pressure ??? I dunno lol.

    Camry v6 2003

Jpp do a nice set of extractors and high flow Ypipe for the 1MZ-FE however they are hugely expensive and based in the US so shipping costs would be an issue as well. it would cost well over $2000 AUD to get these :( http://jpheadersexhaust.com/cgi-bin/jpp6/r...0Toyota+Headers Another option would be OBX which are far cheaper and are essentially Jpp replicas, but in saying that no one has tested fitment yet and the Ypipe also has a resenator instead of a Cat to cut cost. A Cat would need to be fitted for it to be leagle and I'm not sure if the oem one would fit :( Anyway hope that helps a little bit at least :)

    Camry v6 2003

The TRD parts wont fit an Australian Gen5 unfortunatly. Your best bet would be contact Whiteline and order through them, they aren't to expensive and are pretty decent quality.
  6. Wow I got my set of 17's with rubber for $790 fitted (new of course). Damn just goes to show shopping around really pays.
  7. Wow mate that sucks,I'm not sure if US camry's have a different bolt pattern or not but as far as I know they are the same. Sounds like a typical dodgey Ebay listng :( Curiouse though, why didn't you just buy some rims for it in Australia?? Also they do make body kits for the gen2 Camry in the US but they don't fit perfect because of the difference in body shape between our two countries, however with a bit of modifying they can be made to fit.
  8. Yeah gen4 and gen4.5 are late 1997-2002
  9. Ok guys this may save you all a few $$. Gen4 &Gen4.5 How to program a remote/fob Insert master key and cycle from off to on 3 times within 5 seconds (3rd time leave on) Push the button on your new remote and you will see your indicators flash. Turn key to off, hop out of your car and test your remote cause your done :D Toyota charges over $30 for that. How to program a second master key All doors closed Insert existing master key Turn key from lock to on 5 times (5th time keep it on) Open and close drivers door 6 times Remove key Insert new key Switch to on Keep at on for more than 60 seconds Remove key Open door to finish procedure :D Toyota charges $70+ for this Both these methods work, Ive done them myself with no issues and saved a few $$

    grille

Have you tried to find one on Yankee ebay?? Failing that try and find a stock grille at a wrecking yard for cheap, cut out the middle, spray it up and Bondo some mesh behind it :)
  11. I don't think the colour of the lense itself should matter as long as you use green globes for the indicator. Apparently green globes under red lenses have amber light output. I guess to play it safe maybe contact the RTA just to make sure but it should be fine :)
  12. vv WTF is that supposed to mean. If you don't have anything positive to say keep your lame mouth shut.
  13. ^^ Unfortunatly the OEM remotes are a sealed unit so the battery can't be replaced. They're only about $30 from Toyota and are very easy to program yourself.

    Odo readings

Bought my gen4 with 135XXXK about 6 years ago and now has 215XXX. Still going strong and never skips a beat.
  15. Just get the trim from a wrecking yard mate. It'll only cost $10-$20 that way :)
  16. Looks good man, I like that a lot :D
  17. yea same someone find some for the gen4's? cuz man no one has them...or makes them! Yankee ebay always has em Just be sure when ordering to get them for the gen4.5 because American gen4 have different headlights to us and there 4.5 is a closer match to our headlights. They may need a little modifying to fit right. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CARBON-FIBE...emZ150268367927 fwar thanks heaps relish! just wondering though, the link to sent me, the headlights look like a ones from a honda tegie! or should i pm him and ask specifically for the 4.5gen/2002 camry? They use that image head for all their listings of eyelids regardless of make model ect. Towards the middle of the page theres a template image of what the Camry eyelids look like :)

  19. The main changes between the two models (gen5/gen5.5) are ,headlights, tail lights, gauge cluster, I think the front bar may be slightly different as well and more misc trims ect. They are the same car but the 05 model has been face lifted and on the most part has a cleaner more attractive look about it because of these minor changes. The Sportivo you're looking at is one of the more sporty models of the Camry and has upgraded sport suspension (stiffer, strut bar ect), sports trim (seats) sports headlights ,body kit ect. The Azura is more of a luxury model (more expensive higher grade) that has leather trim, smoother suspension, sat nav, woodgrain interior, climate control (bonus has the same Sportivo body kit) ect. Both are really nice top of the line Camry's but it really depends on what you look for in a car to which you should buy. I like Azura's personally because it combines both sport and luxury in the same package and anything missing from a comparative Sportivo model can easily be transfered over to an Azura, but that's just me :)
  20. Factory pads should be fine. On my gen4 the front pads where replaced for the first time at 170000km and since then my new ones (factory) have gone through another 40000k with plenty left to spare. And no I'm not one to go easy on my brakes either.
  21. It's going to take roughly an hour to fit a new CV joint ($50-$75 labour) + whatever amount the joint costs. I'm pretty sure I sourced CV joints for the gen4 for about $110 but that was ages ago and I can't remember where they were from. Be a safe bet to put away around $200-$250 for the job. Oh and to check if your CV is rooted, find a parking lot/open space and do a few figure 8's, If you hear clicking coming from the front of the car it's the CV.
  22. Yup I think you might be right there Trent. From memory they look like the ones I was talking about :) Nice work brotha !!
  23. It's just chrome plastic covers for the gen6. Most of these are scattered all over Ebay but listed seperately instead of a full kit. You can get a few things like these for the gen3,gen4,gen5 and gen6 of US Ebay.
  24. If you pull of the Facia panel around your stereo etc the lighter will come out with it. however Iv'e had my lighter go loose on me before and it never caused any shorts and is a really simple job to tighten it back up (it just screws together). If I were to guess I'd say it's probably not the lighter itself causing the short and more likely a wiring issue. If you have an aftermarket stereo installed I'd guess it's not earthing properly and causing the short.
  25. Yeah they take 2 T5's (Don't use LED's they only light 1/4 of the dials). But the A/C and demist buttons use a really weird base bulb that you prolly wont be able to find at an auto store (I don't even know what they're called). They are smaller than T5's and have 2 long pins that are threaded through a little grey plastic base that twist lock into the button housing (cheap from Toyota).
