  1. Wait a second, Grimlock is selling his cat back system, and its 2'. Why would he change his exh system to 2' if the std is 2'?
  2. I did look at the piping size of my car and they don't look 2'. Anyway, I'll just source the headers 1st then work out what size the cat back piping really is. If its 2' then maybe 2.25 is the way to go.
  3. OK, here's what this exhaust shop told me. Being an N/A u still need some back pressure, if the exhaust system is too big, then it will overkill. Old stuff. So I ask what happen if i still want to use my free-flow muffler? is 2.25' too big? He said I will better off with 2' if i still want to keep my free-flowing muffler. If I want 2.25 the muffler gotta go and swap into reverse type. No need for hi flow cat too, this is what the other exh shop told me aswell. As for headers, well that is damn hard to find but on Monday, hopefully, the exh shop can find me Hurricane headers. Another thing the exhaust shop told me, mandrel bent is not needed if you're only getting 2' to 2.25'. For turbo, you will want to opt for mandrel bent. Another idea I had in mind is to copy Sportivo exh system size. But I knew 2.25' is a bit too big for 1.8 engine.
  4. I think as long as u get recliner type bucket seat you're not in trouble. Besides, who the hell want to drive in a fix bucket seat everyday?
  5. And yeah i remember the 1zz piping is 1.75, very tiny. Grimlock. sounds like 1zz respond well to exhaust tuning. Right now I only got free flowing type muffler, do u think if i increase the size to 2.25 and stick in header would guarantee a leap in power while still using this free flow type muffler? For hi flow cat, according to this shop i went to, there is no need for it. I will check again.
  6. To cougs I knew it was someone from this forum when i saw that exclusive logo. Yes it was me, man how bad was the traffic?!!!
  7. I too have a full exhaust system in plan. According to XtigerX who used to have Levin, he installed Hurricane headers and Lukey cat back, power was about 85kw at the wheel. So Cougs, wanna look together?
  8. Yeah. So point of the day is, go ahead Richie, try drag that Cxi.
  9. I know the dude who used to have that car never really push the car to the limit when he drag with me, but that night we were even. However that is rolling start. mine was bog standard. however, on standing start, i don;t think i can win. I tell u, 1-2nd is damn impressive for Cxi, 3rd gear is getting slow. I know a couple Vti-R got wasted by that car, modified vti-r too. Header and CAI would definitely improved the car even more. Give him a run and see how quick that Cxi is. The secret? Flywheel and Heavy Duty clutch.
  10. Correction: My friend's X Cxi. Extractors eh? I think that is the new addition by the new owner. I can't remember if friend did installed extractors
  11. Hehehe...yes yes that is my friend's Cxi. Well maybe u should give it a run? I know I did ;)
  12. That EK civic with the white rims. Is that a Cxi? If I am not wrong that used to be my friend's car. A damn quick single cam civic.
  13. Grimlock, what is your current power figure? Did u use TRD piggy or Unichip instead? I heard mad result by using Unichip instead of TRD chip.
  14. With those wings, my car would look soo similar to my best friends' civic EK VTI-R hatchback. It's good to go!
  15. It all began by ROb and I decided to wash our cars. Then a quick visit to Toyota to check out the facelift. Had no luck with the salesmen we jet off, but then we saw ADR Rolla parked across the street. So then we decided to take a photoshoot, visit bodykit shop and finally exhaust shop.
  16. I don't know if its true or not, however, if the power at the wheel figure is around 85-87kw at the wheels, that is about true for 2zz-ge. Celica have that power at the wheels figure aswell. I got this information from FastFour Magazine April 2003, the one with the amazing turbo celica which spits out 160kw at the wheel. "...double the power of standard, he reckons, based on a standard output of around 80kw at the tyres from factory floor..." This was also the case with Accord Euro. I went to exhaust shop and met a person there who modified his Accord Euro. I ask him what is the power figure for his car (on that day). He said in standard form it should generate around 85kw at the wheel. Accord Euro in standard have 140kw at flywheel.
  17. I thought they are all the same across the range, just different materials.
  18. hahaha! if u see pecker's website with that bunch of corollas at track, yeap i want mine to be like that for show. low low low
  19. The lower the better. Well...Maybe, hahaha!
  20. Hmmmm. I wonder...how can I lower my car as low as the one on pecker's website.
  21. Seems like these 6cd players have some problems. I think burnt CD may cause damage for the unit. It happened in my gf's IS200 and my friend's Mazda6. But thank *** it was the sticker that caused the problems. Careful next time dude :)
