  1. Very nice mate. So are these now availible to import into Australia. If so, that is interesting, What are the performance figures for this car????
  2. Yeah i had my front on full soft but my back was only on 1/4 hard. Thanks for the tip dylan, I will try that in the future.
  3. Yeah my 60ft needs improvement and I was launching at 3500-4000rpm straight drop, but i hooked up. I had my tyres on 25psi, next time I'll drop them to 20psi and see if it makes a difference.
  4. This was my first time out at WSID, and it wasnt without dramas but was very fun. Im quite dissapointed I didnt take my car out before. My MODS are I/H/E and unichip. Plus removal of rear tyre, tools and bottom of rear seats. First run: RT 0.666 60ft 2.348 330ft 6.431 660ft 9.686 MPH 77.21 1000 ft 12.493 ET 14.863 MPH 94.53 Second run: RT 0.911 60ft 2.491 330ft 7.275 660ft 12.4 MPH 45.48 1000 ft 17.322 ET 22.045 MPH 44.34 Third run: RT 0.813 60ft 2.395 330ft 6.527 660ft 9.816 MPH 73.89 1000 ft 12.611 ET 14.971 MPH 96.7 60ft 2.395 ET 14.971 MPH 96.7 Fourth run: RT 0.704 60ft 2.475 330ft 6.593 660ft 9.849 MPH 77.5 1000 ft 12.693 ET 15.405 MPH 78.82 On my second run I had lost 2nd gear and fourth run I lost 4th gear. Somehow the shifter cables for the lower gears had come loose on the housing. I was quite suprised on my fourth run as I got 15.405 with no fourth gear. I assume I was changing quite hard plus all the struts make the car chassis quite stiff, causing the problem. I am quite happy with my time and am sure I can do alot better. My fourth run was looking to be the best until I changed to 4th and had no gear. Looking at the stats it would of been the best time, even with the lower 60ft. With a better 60ft and more weight reduction (back rear seats out as they weigh 20kgs and also the passenger seat 17kg.) and lower tyre pressures, I am sure I can get into the low 14s with a MPH of roughly 99.
  5. The members here running the PFC have their A/C working. However that information is the property of someone elses work.
  6. All done superdave. Must say these pads are awesome, it is raining here in sydney and the car pulls up very quickly. This is in the wet so I cant wait till it is dry outside. I bedded my brakes by driving to speeds of 70-80km/hr and slammed the anchors. I repeated this around 10-15 times. Should this be enough? It is quite hard to find a quiet street where i live, so im hoping its ok. Should the bedding procedure be done only once or is it okay for me to resume it tomorrow?
  7. What a coincidence, I just picked up my Ferodo DS2500 today and was searching for a guide. Your the man Superdave. I am also doing a complete brake fluid change. I bought 3x500ml bottles of Castrol Respone Super Dot4, how much bottles of brake fluid do I need?
  8. OMG these are sex and quality work from PPE in America. The pipe layout looks identical to our corollas, so most likely will fit our sportivos.
  9. Get it done once and get it done right, speak to Trevor and you wont go wrong. They have exceptional customer service and are very friendly, I recommend them very highly..... :toast:

    Yaris

Looks sweet. Just drop it lower and it will really set your wheels off. There are many choices for coilovers for the yaris, if I were you I would invest in a nice set of buddyclubs N+.
  11. The headers are HPC coated to retain heat so no need to wrap em up. Plus they are all nice and shiny so why would I want cover them up BINGO!!! Some of the collectors are very ordinary to say the least. I have looked at about 6 or more sets of stock headers and some were rough as and some pretty good. To totally clean up a rough set to a nice smooth surface would porting a lot out of the collector area leaving some spots pretty thin. This in turn would reduce strength and create a weak spot which in time may crack or split. How do you like the way you can now just simply change at low rpm and have nice throttle response into the next gear. Also you can become lazy and not have to change down a gear to go up hills etc. All you have to do is squeeze the throttle a bit more. I personally think that these headers were the thing that made my Sportivo so much better to drive day to day and then if you combine them with cat back and CAI the performance gains will put a nice big smile on your face.... I am very happy with the difference it has made, low-midrange punch is very very good. I think its even better because i have the unichip to synergise everything

  13. Thats good to hear northy. Reason I ask was i went to inspect my headers today after driving and put my hand on the strut brace and burnt myself lol. The area seemed a lil warmer than normal.
  14. Well I have installed them and I must say I am impressed with the extra low-mid range torque. I was hesitant at first, but had a chat with trevor to confirm my doubts. The ports on the inlet are excellent, but the collector could have been more cleaned up. Comparing it to boosted port jobs on new celica. I have a question for those also running the CES headers, are you guys running with or without the heatshields. I am running without and it seems as if the underbonnet temp have increased, is there anything to be worried about?
  15. I have been saying this for years, the back half of the Corolla chassis is like liquorice. Even on a stock car the rear strut is great. It wont make you faster, but you will be able to actually feel what the car is doing at the back. Yes superdave, what you describe is very true. The rear of the car feels so much more stable, I know this because there are a number of corners I always take at speed. The difference is amazing, knowing and feeling what the car is doing.
  16. Sorry for the late reply. I got it from www.ontherunmotosports.com
  17. Some snipper pliers and a bit of swearing, job well done hahah
  18. They are mounted exactly like the C-ONE brace using 2 bolts on each seatbelt bracket, they are very secure.
  19. I installed this yesterday and I must say it did make a noticable difference. The chasis feels alot tighter and cornering now, the car feels alot more stable. Our cars should come standard with this, if anyone has ripped out their whole boot interior before, and pushed the bare metal you would have noticed there is alot of flex. I had to butcher some of the rear trim but its not noitcable at all unless you are specifically looking. This is a must mod, way better than the front strut. But I guess all the little components compliment each other. I have attached pics below for everyone.
  20. Go Cusco!!!, I regret not paying that little more to get the cuscos. But there is nothing wrong with the G4's they have served me well for a long time.
  21. For $150 that GT-HID kit is most likely a counterfeit product. I have a set of GTHIDs and they are no where near that cheap. A couple of months ago, they had published on their website that their were a large number of counterfeit GT-HID kits so watch out guys. But if that is the real deal that is dirt cheap.
  22. yeah was nice to meet some fellow corolla owners. I was mighty impressed by RUNX two tone corolla, looks absolute sex. Is he finished turbocharging the car, plus NOS???
  23. Yeah I have experienced this issue with bad fuel. My solution is I only use Shell V-Power Racing, its 100ron so I have the added protection and know that my car will not under perform.
