  1. It cost $550 for installation and tuning. I also got the unichip for dirt cheap off my cousin, that is why i opted to go this path.
  2. Hi guys and girls, I just had my unichip installed yesterday at autotech engineering, I must say they have the best customer service. Before installation they found that my resonator had cracked on both ends. I was wondering why my car kept rattling and felt like **** sometimes. It was replaced with a new high flow resonator. My result was 112.1kw atw. But ignoring that number, the car has completely transformed, low to mid range has new life. Stop start traffic is easy to drive as the car is alot more torquey thus requiring less effort to get moving and keep up with traffic. I also turned on the a/c to see the difference, the car no longer struggles as it used to. Going up hills now also requires alot less effort. The transition into lift is also less noticable now, due to the extra torque. Bear in mind this was dyno tuned in 30 degree weather (crazy sydney weather) so I expect a higher number on the dyno. Some will say from my numbers its not worth it, but drive my car and then you will notice the differnece. I dont like to talk much, I will be taking my car down the WSID in the coming weeks to see my MPH time. That is the real test as dyno figures are overrated aka not a dyno queen lol My Mods are - SHIFT CAI - 2.5inch catback with high flow resonator and XFORCE twin loop muffler
  3. After a CAI and catback zorst landing the 1-2 shift in lift is effortless. Yeah they could of choose better gearing for our cars.
  4. Is honda Australia bringing the JDM model in??? Last time I read that this model will not be coming into AUS
  5. brakes all sorted ..... now off to get them engineered ..... and correct regarding the certificate and insurance ...... i dont think ill have any issues getting these engineered. more pics here http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...st&p=195118 Nice upgarde Bill. My mate upgraded his suzuki swift gti brakes to honda prelude brakes. When he braked hard the car would go up on the front 2 wheels. hahahah. Wonder if you will get the same??
  6. what coilovers did you end up getting suprathai
  7. 1. The shifting issue was present in the pre facelift models 03-04. You can go to toyota to get the clutch adjusted which will resolve this issue. But in regards to the feeling the gears issue, out gear shift is no where near as smooth as a honda, you will get used to it. 2. Maybe it is you car cooling down i.e. exhaust cooling down makes ticking sounds all cars do it A TRD short shifter will cost $269 from one of our helpful forum memebers, or $380 ovr the counter at castle hill toyota Welcome mate
  8. Maybe your turn in is to aggresive.....I have had my sportivo for 2 years now and never had that issue. Even when i was stock
  9. Sinan can you comment on the performance gains with the extractors. You souns like you know them well
  10. Thanks Rollamods. I have it booked in on monday to fix. Only $50 which is fair price
  11. Hi peeps, I just did a inspection on the car and found grease i think on the CV boot and bottom of coilovers :( :( . The grease is thick so I assume its a split CV boot? Can someone please confirm. Im not sure what comes out of coilovers if that is busted but they seem to be working fine. The car drives as normal Help appreciated in advanace
  12. I have just called up Liverpool exhausts and was quoted $550 for the extractors plus $150 for installation. This is a very decent price for custom made extractors, however my only concern is do they perform. As many so called extractors for our cars actually go backwards in performance.
  13. yes they do have extractors for our cars. they have them on their sportivos I will check this out tommorrow and ask for details...
  14. Liverpool exhausts make extractors for our cars? If so, do you have any details. Well im aware one of the workers there has a sportivo, so they have a catback system to but for $350-400 last time I asked and they also make a CAI
  15. Well to give you an idea I have a custom 2.5inch system with a berklee high flow resonator and a Xforce twinloop muffler. There is definatley gains to be felt in the high end and midrange. I previously had a magnaflow muffler on the system, but I found it got annoying when I was tired, so I swapped over to a Xforce which is alot less noisy. I notice the CES system follows the same design as the stock system, where it curves up where the torsion beam is. My system has eliminated this curve, so less retriction, but I will have to dyno to confirm.
  16. Holy $hit, that is damn expensive  . But must sound awesome.
  17. you can try the greddy V-mange piggyback. It can also change your lift points and valve timing
  18. In your list RAYS is the only brand. All the other brands make copies, which doesnt mean they are crap. Have a look at SSW rims, Ive had 2 sets of these and the quality is up there to the jap brands I would say.
  19. make sure you tighten the sway bar links tight, but not too tight, if you understand being not to damage the thread of the shock body.
  20. How does it perform mate? and have you driven in hot weather yet with it, if I were you ill do some ducting for cool air... Looks awesome and is different from all the CAI here
  21. I have a front strut, rear sway, sticky tyres and coilovers. Everything compliments each other, but the best difference i think is the tyres. You can have good suspension, but whats the use if you dont have the rubber to stick it down...... Do not skimp on tyres if you love your handling.....
  22. I agree and disagree . FWD cars are not the ****boxes they use to be in the past, with todays technology I believe this difference has changed. Alot of their shortcomings have been improved. Just look at the list of FWD cars availible today, they will outhandle many rwd cars....... But i dont think rwd is overrated, as having the ***** snap out is awesome feeling
