  1. It could be multiple reasons as to why the celica feels heavier.

Look at the difference between the two cars

-Rim size and tyre width/profile/height/quality and also tyre pressure plays a factor.

-Also when was the last time the power steering fluid got a flush?

-Weight difference between the two cars?

    Theres tons of reasons why!

  2. Hi guys, on last night's meet one of the guys brought to my attention that the window surround on my car (pre-facelift 04 corolla sportivo) should be normal plastic not actually painted.

=if you dont understand, im trying to describe the actual part of the car door that the windows slide up into, the metal frame around the window and also the centre pillar section.

Now on mine its painted to colour match the car (black car) but on the facelifts i saw last night theirs was still black plastic regardless of the colour of car. So i went home and looked at mums, (late 2007 zze122 corolla ascent sedan BASE model no extras) and her's is painted as well and the car is also black and we have owned the car from brand new, yet my mates 2004 corolla ascent sedan (once again BASE no extras) which is silver has the normal plastic, which is not painted to match the car.

I was curious if this was done on black model cars only and also what you guys have.

    Thanks all

  3. Had similar problems before.

    Make sure you

    1. check that there is a decent ground (12v test lamp),

2.that the remote wire is working(12volt test lamp).

If and when the amp cuts out quickly jump out of your car and see if the amps really hot, it might be overheating.

If all else fails it could possibly be the rca leads as ive had this problem before, the amp would work for ages and then for no apparent reason cut out, to give it a test just plug in an ipod for example with rca-headphone jack straight into the amp and see if it cuts out while your driving.

  4. ok fellas, quick update again. cars has sorta started to crunch again, and i dont know if its me getting nervous, cause if i shift bymyself it never happens but if someones in the car it does.lol.

But then its only like 1 out of 10 times. Im also thinking that my clutch is starting to go on its way out as i can feel it ride when its gets warm and i also think i need a clutch pedal adjustment again which could be the problem.

    Will let you know soon.

  5. ^ You know; you are going to be old one day.

And hopefully by then there will be automated hover cars :D

lol my granddad is 89yrs old and STILL has his licence... i just thank god that he lives in NZ and not here...

he can barely walk... literally.... he takes 10 steps and has to sit down... haha

My grandads 79 and he definently should not be driving.

  6. OLD PEOPLE DRIVING. GET OFF THE DAM* ROAD!!!!

Eg. the latest news report where the 60 yr old lady drove through the brick wall......come on. Government should give free taxi/bus passes to all seniors.

Driving home the other day on king georges rd, some old guy who looked about 90 with these massive headphones on (not for doof doof lol, obviously some sort of hearing aid device) was driving and as the road would curve he would cut across lanes as if the 3 lanes was a single massive one.

plus the fact that he didnt know what blinkers were (probly weren't invented when he got his license) and i dont think he had enough strength in his leg to hit the brake cause everytime he stopped he almost hit the person in front.

I bet you the cops will never see this guy though. How can someone at that age keep passing the rta required testing thing that they have for seniors each year?

  7. I'm going to revive this thread because this school holidays have really brought some crazy drivers back onto the road and I'm sure others would like to vent.

Another one to add to the list are those that merge onto a road (ie. pulling out of a street or driveway) while you are approaching and fail to accelerate to match the speed of the flowing traffic. This results in you having to brake heavily or change lanes to avoid them. Some people just have no sense.

-or those that are in such a rush to cut out in front of you from a side street only to drive slow once they're ahead of you..

-Idiots who are lost and using their gps but are driving at like 5kph and dont know what they're doing (PULL OVER AND LET TRAFFIC PAST)

-Im not a p plater but a few of my mates are, one of them crashed his car as this old woman decided to turn right at the last moment without using indicators as he was turning right, so he swerved and ended up in someones front lawn...cops cames, the lady said that it was her own fault and she most likely caused the accident AND YET MY MATE STILL COPS THE BLAME AND THE POINTS, the cops still saying it was his fault even AFTER the lady admitted she caused it.

-People forgetting to put there lights on at night!!!!

-People who dont give a wave or a thankyou after you let them in.

Of course road rage is on the rise, i myself give up and just skitz it at everyone now. telling people to get f'ed if they dont give a thanks and honk the horn until they realise. ( best bit is to drive up next to them abusing them, they freak out and keep their head forward.lolmight learn for next time )

  8. TCL 42inch FULL HD $850 :D From bing lee.......i was actually thinking of getting one of these.lol

By the way whats the prices of these units that your looking at?

If there all roughly the same, see what you really need. Are you ever going to us the wii or need the extra tv? do you already have a blu-ray player?
