  1. No. Perhaps for a reason? :D
  2. I prefer to know exactly where I'm / how fast am I going. As for the "too long delay between the GPS and satelite" - perhaps the dealer refers to the frequency GPS updates position/speed from satellites... which is rubbish: when testing I keep my speed steady for a minute or 2 - more than enough for any GPS to update. Needless to say resluts are the same. When I test drived one of the Kluger's closest competitors (newer model I mean :D) - noticed even bigger margin.
  3. 104/5 when 110 is on speedo. 60 when 64 is on speedo. Testd with GPS.
  4. That is strange indeed - unless your route is straight wih no turns and destination is 100m from the starting point... will have a look at my unit settings tomorrow Yes and You have now reached you destination (when I arrive). Which GPS system do you have bodin? The Grande one or the upgrade accessory? It's a very strange problem your having.
  5. You do hear the message like "please proceed to the highlighted route" or "the guiding will start now"?
  6. Got Grande with GPS :D GPS offers basically 2 roads - along the coast and country. Time/km's diff is very low... though somebidy who maybe has travelled before could give me a hint...
  7. Apologies for a topic snatcher... but what would be the best road (faster overall time) to get from Syd to Bri? Coast one or the country one? Will drive Kluger :D Thanks
  8. I would be. I'm just saying could be worse...
  9. So the actual delay (over the announced waiting time) was 45 minutes? I think, it is not good enough... but I'd hate to say but still OK comparing to an average service around. E.g. had cases of a longer delay with some elemnts of the service (and I'm not talking about car service only) not done at all or done improperly. So what I mean is I'd be happy it what you describe would be the worst case. Again, agree it is not good enough.
  10. Nevet noticed... do the lights need to be on Auto for this?
  11. I see. The standard tyre on Grande is 245/55 R19 103S. So if I manage to install 255/55 R19 103S (propely, I mean - and assuming they will fit existing rims) I'll get wider tyres... downside I'll have to buy 5, not 4. Thanks everybody for education, btw
  12. I understand half of what you guys are talking about... (what is are magic 3% etc) but Kluger having a full size spare was one of the reasons I picked the Kluger up (apart from 10s of others). Will wait till somebody finds out what is the max (width and diameter) is possible on Kluger rims. is 245/55R19 narrower than 255/55R19?
  13. Mikeboy, I've noticed that when Kluger's speedo shows 65km/h it is actually 60: is that what you have called an "optimistic speedo", and if I read you correctly different tyres could fix that? What's OD? I can't speak high enough of Yokohama tyres - they will be next on my Kluger. Thanks
  14. I was wrong, a slightest touch is required... but no need to pull the handle.
  15. Will go and test now (need to wax my fingers 1st)...
  16. Never had a problem (they key is always in my pants pocket). It actually works when your palm is "inside" the handle but not actually touching it.
  17. Got one, no problems. Yes its heavy but - becaise I'm not carrying it myself :D - its not problem... perhaps make stowing/getting out a luggage cover bit more difficult.
  18. How do you check for the version?
  19. The only thing I missed in my old car (sold) is thoiose Yokohama tyres. Will have them (same brand I mean) fitted to my Kluger when the time comes...
  20. Looks like mine (e.g. the cut out for the light sensor seems to be in place)... still worried about the aribag. Why put them on - just experience with complete faded/discoloured dashes on cars w/out the mat.
  21. Hi all, I was trying to get a dash mat for the Kluger; there was nothing from Toyota geniune but the parts department of my dealer sold me the one from Dashmate. It seems to fitting OK (right shape); but I have 2 concerns. 1) Passanger airbag. They have a cut out that hangs on 2 plastic threads (dunno if I should remove them, but then it will not be fixed to the main shape of the mat) but it lays on top of a flat plastic above the glovebox and it is smaller than that passenger side panle (can post a photo if I'm not making myself clear). 2) the mat has cutouts for the air wents and those 2 roind vents on the dash, but not for those speakers (guess they are speakers) just under the window. The paper on the mat says "Kluger model 40 2006/2007. Any comments please... P.S. Also got bushranger set of all-weather rubber mats - fitted perfectly. Apparently they are avalible from Toyota in US but not here.
  22. Went to the local 4WD centre this morning. Apparently the earth on the plug is not connected / faulty. Let the dealer know about the issue straight away... he'll be arranging the fix on Monday. Not happy Well, got it fixed yesterday. Took an hour only - apparently they have installed the tow bar 1st, then proceeded with the reverse sensor installation during which they have dosconnected the plug and didn't connect it back. Not good; however the way the dealt with the problem almost compensated the troubles - e.g. same day, time suitable for me, replacement car (for an hour), etc
  23. This is my trailer (boat) it was OK 3 weeks ago when I had old car...
  24. Hi all, Need some urgent help please. Was going to tow the trailer (1st time on Kluger) tomorrow. Hooked it to the plug at the back (electric) but trailer lights were dead - no truns, breaking, etc. Trailer was OK with previous car. I thought perhaps there's a switch in the Kluger or something? Also noticed reverse parking sensors do not switch off when trailer is hooked... but this may be related to the main problem. Any suggestions? Thanks
