  5. Bulb details should be in the manual. It should state the sizes of all the bulbs in the car. Has anyone got an electronic version of the Aurion Manual - I've done a quick search of the web with no luck
  6. Just to clarify, What are they original speaker sizes ? Front: 6" x 9" Rear: 6" x 9" Tweeters: ? --------EDIT-------- 6x9's all round . . . read the first post again :)
  7. Yeah I saw that advertised somewhere too thought it was a good idea . . . closer look at it IMO it looks crap . . . . the integrated system looks better IMO
  8. I went down the south coast (from sydney) over the long weekend. Drove from sydney down to Ulladulla (about 200kms) there was some nice open road driving and some bumper to bumper traffic (as this was the long weekend). While away I drove a few times into town and little trips here and there. Drove back amongst the same conditions I drove down in (traffic + open road). My average is now 10.4L/100kms which is after the trip and driving to work this morning. Both the trip down and back, the car boot was full of gear along with the half the back seat. I think 10.4 is a good average, without the load or the traffic it would have gotten better. I normally average 10 - 10.5 just driving to/from work and around on weekends. As for Aurion/Falcon/Commodore, the toyota has the most cutting edge technology in terms of engine/drive train. The are a great car to drive in comparison, my father has a new falcon and it's a bit boring and 'just a falcon'. I drove the new SV6 before I bougth the SX6 and while the SV6 looks great on the outside the ride is very rough and noisy compared to the Aurion. Also there is alot of engine feel through the cabin + steering in the SV6 and the demo car had rattles throughout the car. The dealer was holding the dash while I drove the near new SV6 to show my what it would be like when I got one . . . until it started rattling itself. I am completely satisfied with the SX6, ZR6 would be even better and you get some very intertested looks from people you pass by as they look great . . . Hope you buy one EVL-184 . . see you around the forum soon . . .
  9. Looks like you have had almost a full tank of petrol there... I've been city driving to work and back, from stand still bumper to bumper and 80km/hr on the eastern distributor (sydney) and currently I have around 10.3L/100kms. I've seen it on 9.9L/100km only a day ago. Going away for the long weekend and looking forward to some motorway driving to see what I can get it down too. :P
  10. Just load some extra sand bags in the boot until your off your P's . . . that will bring the power to weight down From the Toyota website: SX6 kerb wight 1,615kg ZR6 kerb weight 1,630kg Presara kerb weight 1,625kg Prodigy kerb weight 1,610kg AT-X kerb weight 1,590kg
  11. http://www.honda.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/in...Specifications/ New Accord V6 are claiming 202kW @ 6200rpm | 339Nm @ 5000rpm with a weight of either 1615kg for standard or 1650kg for the luxury . . . So 125kW/tonne
  12. Anyone know anyone in Sydney that can fix this problem ?
  13. On the optic of doors - Noticed the other night that the passenger side door when open does not trigger the cabin lights and is not registering in the HUD when open. I'm gonna check the service manuals but I think the little door switch needs attention or a cable has come loose. Anyone else have a problem like this and could help me solve it ?
  14. Mine is down at 11.3L/100kms - After I got it back from a service it went back up to 13.6L/100kms, guess that's because they run the engine a bit during service while the car is stationary.
  15. ?? $48k for a SX6 . . . we all know you mean $38k . . . right ??
  16. *sigh* Yes I've noticed the same problem with my SX6. Had Toyota carry out a wheel alignment yesterday and noticed a little difference but so far I don't think it's perfect. Gotta check it on a perfectly flat road. Perhaps we should all e-mail the same person at Toyota about the issue. If we all put in complaints then they should admit the factory fault and have something done about it. Trouble is they might not do a recall cause it's not a life threatening issue.
  17. All fixed now . . . easy to be critical but it was an easy fix for them at the service centre. I must say that dropping doors are not exclusively an Oz build thing. I have Nissans & other foreign build cars with similar problems. Usually from people using the doors as support while hauling there huge mass out of the car.
  18. Anyone had there drivers side door drop ? I just took my SX6 for a service and asked the Toyota service guy to fix my drivers side door as it has dropped. The only reason I noticed this was cause the closing mechanism was a bit clunky. was only out by about 1mm. Just picked it up and it's smooth as now. Service guy said it was a common problem . . . but it was free to fix (under warranty)
  19. Question: Has anyone ever done tint with the back window darker than the door windows ? By this I mean the 4 door windows tinted to the legal limit but the back (rear) window darker than the legal limit. The last time I got my windows tinted the guy doing the tint said do 'do you want me to do double tint on the rear window, it makes the whole thing look much darker' I don't think I'd be doing double the legal limit but maybe just a bit darker. Not sure if it would look OK - I'd think that it would not be too obvious that the rear window are different from the door windows as they are not exactly adjacent. From the side profile the windows would look the same it would only be at the angle that you'd see a different when you can see both the side and rear. In that case the windows would be at different angles and would look different anyway. I'v attached the RTA's (nsw) rules on window tinting - Probably similar in other states vsi03_rev3.pdf

  21. Perhaps people have started to realise how crap falcons and commodores really are and Toyota have had an abundance of orders. 5 months seems a long time since they are assembled here in Australia. I mean it not like it's on a boat somewhere . . . unless it's one from an overseas plant.
  22. Day 2 and I've gotten the consumption average down to 11.7L/100kms. Same city commuting driving and I have booted it a bit overtaking people, so not all granny driving :P Also just noticed that the previous owner missed the last service :( Booked it in for tomorrow. Maybe milage will improve
  23. Just as a test, and this should not be done all the time cause people that don't indicate frustrate me . . . alot . . . BUT try turing the wheel or going around a roundabout without indicating. Is the noise still there ?
  24. I just filled up my tank and got 48L/100km cause I planted it about half way down the road. Done about 50kms on the tank and managed to get it down to 12.0L/100kms so far. That's with some back street local driving and a run in this morning in traffic throught the harbour tunnel (Sydney). Will see how that goes. Noticed that the range when full is just over 500kms. Is this what everyone else gets or is the range dependant on the way your drive. I'd think that when you fill the system resets back to default to the 500 is just a default value. Anyone know how many kms they get out of a tank or fuel? I've filled it with standard unleaded atm cause fuel prices were up over the weekend.
