  1. LoL...! I saw one yesterday. A nice grey one - the driver was a nice guy also. He let me in the lane when he really didn't have too. I mean he was beside me and slightly back about half a car lenght. I indicated and he slowed to let me in. Don't really like the lower front lip spoiler too much but the rear exhaust look good being integrated into the rear bumper.
  2. Ì'm thinking that it might be the sound of the indicator cancelling notches. When you use the indicator and turn the wheel left (for example) the indicator stays on until you turn the wheel back to the right and hit the first notch. As you turn it opposite to the indicator direction to the indicator direction the notche engage with the indicator lever and cancel it, returning the lever back to the off position. You will notice that if you use a left indicator but turn the wheel right the indicator will cancel at the first notch. I haven't noticed the clicks too much on the Aurion but previous cars did this. I will note it when I drive home from work now, I'm sure. Indicators are mostly mechanical in operation. I know on a holden Astra (my wifes) the indicators are electronic. But the Aurion's are mechanical. I think I explained that correctly - hopefully : )
  3. Welcome . . . looking forward to another point of view :)
  4. I like the front grille . . . but ti also kinda reminds me of a Hilux and teh chrom grilles you see people put on them
  5. I got a quote for $570 for the lot including electrics + using a Hayman Reese removable hitch. Photos look good Lewie but the Sportivo rear bar is lower and the bar would look to be coming out in the middle of teh bar. Yours looks good cause it's kinda coming out from underneath or the bottom edge of the bar. Anyone got photos of a Sportivo with a towbar ?
  6. Well there you have it, I think that settles is. Inferno is deep metallic Orange. It would probably look red in certain light but looks pretty darn orange to me. Good work ---- Looks nice but not for me
  7. WOW the'd be huge speakers . . . I'm sure you mean 6x9's :D Shame about the reduced economy on the new tyre/wheel's but for the extra grip it'd be worth it. Expecially in the wet
  8. Anyone that has a tow hitch (removable tongue) installed. Did you install it yourself or did you have the dealer/supplier install it ? Reason: From the looks of it it's just a few bolts onto the cars rear structure which I think I could do myself. As for electrics & wiring I'd prefer to connect it with enought length and then just leave it coiled in the boot.
  9. Nice rims - did you get chrome ? I like these ones also Sakata 5 Looking forward to the pics :)
  10. I have a friend that works in Toyota and another that works at Lexus so I'll check with them an see what I can do. I'm sure Toyota staff would know about the details. Doubt your going to go to jail for buying a set of mag wheels. Unless the Toyota/TRD police are going to lock you up in the basement of there dealership :)
  11. Yeah I see what you mean . . . no red's for the SX6 or ZR6 You can get Wildfire on the AT-X/Prodigy but not the Gold or Inferno . . . . Strongly doubt you are getting a AT-X (or a Prodigy) . . . Not that there is anything wrong with them at all.
  12. This is what I mean. I've seen this 'Inferno' colour mentioned numerous times and each time it looks different. This is the TRD Aurion, supposedly in Inferno Red. Now, I like that red but the image on the Toyota website, which is the one Danos posted - looks "orangey" - and I'm not as keen on that colour. if they had the inferno red which is the trd concept color, i would pick that with my eyes closed. so sexy. but unfortunately they only have it on trd aurion. You sure that's not Wildfire - which is a red not currently available on the SX6 or the ZR6
  13. IMO - Blue . . . if I was able to choose the colour mine would be Caribbean Blue. I got silver cause I don't mind silver and the deal on the 2nd hand car was good. The blue in the gallery looks sweet http://www.toyota.com.au/toyota/vehicle/Ga...86_1392,00.html The Inferno is more of a Burn Orange which you can see in the gallery and looks similar in real life.
  14. In regards to the tyre sizing, here is a little calculator which I think might help everyone. I've used it befoer and it's good. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html You should be able to go wider which will give you 225/40/R19 more rubber on the road more grip and a nice look
  15. asked my cuz to do a quickie on photoshop the other day and this is how it will look with the wheels and a bit of lowering :P I think the wheels look great - Do the rims actually say TRD on them ? That would be the only down side to using them on a standard Aurion. Trouble is that they'd probably cost twice as much from TRD compared to a set of similar aftermarket rims.
  16. Did you get it done in Sydney ? and where ? so I can go get mine done also. My Aurion is Silver so mirrow would look pretty sweet
  17. Well . . . just for the record I bought the SX6 with 20,000kms for $29,000 and managed to talk up my trade-in and do a great deal. It's pretty stock only it has window tinting (mild) and reverse sensors. See you all out on the road sometime.
  18. I got Tint-a-car in Sydney (SUTHERLAND) to price me their tints for an Aurion just this week. I bought mine with a mild tint already and will need to get it removed before they apply the new tint. A for compatability, I'm not sure but the F1 tint isn't metallic so there should be no interferance. Here are the prices: www.tintacar.com.au IT WILL COST $100 TO REMOVE OLD TINT. 19. Hey guys, I just joined the forum and m about to buy myself a second hand (low mileage) Aurion Sportivo SX6. I've driven it once before and really liked what I found. Plenty of grunt but also quite refined and stylish. Drove a new SV6 commy the other day and it felt rought and lumpy and in comparison to the SX6, felt like driving a ute. Also there were noticable squeeks and rattles in the near new test drive car. Just been reading throught the forum quickly to see if I can pick up some info on the Aurion, like things to look out for etc. If anyone wants to reply with things that are common 'faults' with the Aurion that I might be able to get fixed during the deal with the sale please list them here. Looking forward to discussing Toyota & Aurion stuff with you all, are many people here from Sydney ? My previous rides or current ride is a Mazda 3 and before that a SSS Pulsar which were mildly modded.
