Thanks mate, havent done any of those, but have raced plenty of cars. Mind you these are all rolling start races, I dont like to launch of the line as I still have my original clutch in from 9 years ago lol. Raced a few worked WRX's beat heaps of them, tons of skylines beat heaps of them, heaps of sr20 turbo 180's and pulsars. Raced my mates STI was neck to neck with him. Suprises alot of people for a NA 1.8. Only been beaten by a few cars, most of them worked V8's or fully worked cars, and bevan in his celica!!! *****!!! Oh yeah and jimmys celica but his gone turbo now so it doesnt count :P p.s mate has pretty much same set up and managed to get 14.5 I believe at willowbank. So I should hopefully get somewhere around there with semi slicks :D. Just waiting for fidanza flywheel to arrive and heavy duty clutch then ready for willowbank :D

Shame we can't get many of the new Celica owners on this forum considering that the powerplant between the Celicas and Corollas is pretty much the same. As Magyar said with your best bet is the usual exhaust/intake with mild gains, S/C for serious improvmen. I know with our Sportivos a good set of headers can really help with the mid range torque. Out of curisoity, what are the stock headers like in the Celica GT-S? stock headers are okay, going to get mine ported and ceramic coated soon. Mate of mine has ppe headers on his celica with power getter exhaust injen cai and stripped car. We have raced a few times and he is only a little bit faster than me, but his car has no back seats lol and 15 inch rims, while I have full interior plus 16 inch wheels. But have heard some after market headers are worse than OEM for celicas.

COme visit us at ozcelica.com :P Torque is pretty hard to get out of a celica, friend of my has powergetter exhaust and its good low end up to about 7000rpm he says. I have a kazuma replica exhaust and I love it, goes well the my injen cai. You wont get much torque from a celica unless supercharging. Rotex or blitz is the way to go. Pretty sure there is a blitz one for sale on ozcelica.com atm for around $4g

The only radar detector at the moment that is undetectable is the beltronics sti. Was looking at getting one myself. Around $600-$700. However after I found out about the penalties I passed :P Fines about $1000, 8 demerit points and confiscate the radar detector. Wish I lived in the W.A :(
