My brothers had both; Type R splits and he now has Hertz Splits. The Type r's were decent, but didnt really stand up to the Hertz Splits Spend the extra and get the Hertz HSK165's You won't regret it, only minor complaints is that tweeters are a tad bright but mounting them correctly can fix this they are great with various types of music too, not just one trick ponies :P Better then Alpine Type X splits IMO

It may not be 100% accurate, but it should at least be comparable to other figures given by the same computer. allowing it to give a comparison of driving styles, rather then specific figures Pretty impressive though! :) I havent had a good run in mine yet, so the fuel economy is somewhat heavy :P

Just the typical B&M Style cooler, i doubt blocking air flow would be to much of an issue, its not huge and air would ultimately pass through it anyway

Theres two pics of what i presume is a Transmission cooler, to hard to get under and look exactly how its wired, plastic covering everything in these cars lol

Ive got a Honda Accord Euro luxury also, Nice Car to own, but dont held your breath on never getting any rattles, they seem to develop a few rattles and creaks here and there over time, mine isnt used very often and has developed noises, dealers havent been much help at all, great cars to drive though, slightly underpowered but once you get over that they have a great chassis :) did you get the new shape?

Does it sound like its the very front of the dash? Mainly on rougher roads? kinda sounds like the dash is hitting the windscreen?

im not sure how its tapped in exactly, it is a standalone unit/cooler i'll have to get under there and take some photos to see if its inseries or whether they just use it rather then both its just in front of the radiator behind the grill

I noticed the TRD comes standard with a rather large transmission cooler :)

Mine hasnt found a signal yet, i might have to reposition the sensor Put it in top of the inside of the dash, might need to move it further forward it reads "NO GPS" in the bottom right of the screen when in navigation mode, Is there any settings i may need to adjust?

Mine will kinda do it in Sequential mode, not in auto though You press to change gears and its not instant, will do this kind of thing then go to the next gear slight lag :(

Got mine installed, Pretty good so far just a few questions, with the navigation how long does it take to get a signal on the first go? is it slow? mine hasnt yet picked up a signal, i need to change the nav program to, the standard ones pretty average so ill go with the igo software Also, when the reverse camera is wired to come on when you select reverse, does the music cut out for everyone? there seems to be no music when i select reverse, but this morning there was music with reverse on but only through the rear speakers!

Ive got a dash rattle from the right of the dash towards the front, havent had a chance to call the dealer about it yet would like to hear your outcome, its a PITA! :(

In terms of exhaust, a guy from toyota told me that they arent to concerned about Cat back style systems But if you change the whole exhaust or fiddle with the cats etc they will try to void your engine warranty etc i believe

:) nice choice Ive got a Red 3500S and pretty much plan on doing the exact same mods as you :) New headunit, new speakers, sub & a 5 channel amp and i plan to replace the catback system too i'm sure you'll enjoy it, heaps of power :)

I believe the brakes on the TRD aurion are PBR brakes, sourcing ones that have TRD on them is just going to add extra costs, look at buying PBR brakes themselves making a TRD aurion out of a standard one would cost more then just buying one in the first place $800 for bars is very reasonable, BA Xr6 bars are like $1300 new, well they were when my falcon needed a replacement! I kinda hope Toyota do stick to there policy and only sell TRD parts to TRD owners, i'd hate to see a bunch of fakes getting around, especially badges, kits i dont mind to much and wheels, but fake badging one is a bit silly Importing the entire kit to that states, if achievable is going to costat a very minimum $4,000 i'd presume, especially requiring headlights, front and rear bars, skirts etc + shipping

the TRD suspension is pretty impressive, Ive had zeal coilovers and other brands in the past, they handled great but the ride quality wasnt always the best TRD suspension offers the perfect mix of ride quality and handling ability i think Probably able to get a similar result with aftermarket parts though, might be more of a gamble though
