  1. Depends what your after, If your after outright speed and "track" ability id have to go with the Falcon i have a TRD aurion, and i must say how many people say it has to much power for a front wheel drive car is a bit of a joke, it puts the power down amazingly well for being Front wheel drive ive owned a lot of powerful front wheel drive cars, the TRD puts it down very easy, if you think it has to much power, your just too soft lol I owned a BA Xr6 in the past, it was a good car, quite heavy on fuel, much much much heavier then magazines and ford quoted, and it wasnt driven hard, just work and home, they're not great with stop start driving Also have had v8 commodores, the falcon NA xr6 returned similar figures on fuel to those. although the new falcon is apparently improved straight sixes are always known to be thirsty aurion uses alot less fuel, but 98 ron though :( i assume the FG uses 95 build quality wise they are both pretty similar, the falcons are decent but have never been known well to hold up over time, and ive had experience with a number of falcons, its a bit to early to tell how the FG will go. Also i have heard the G6E doesnt have an LSD? not sure i can believe that? Would seem a bit crazy for ford to not include one either way, both are great cars to drive, and if you drive them at 80% of there ability they wont be all that different either, The TRD aurion can handle suprisingly well, the soft steering is the only negative i have with the car, even the FWD isnt to much of a bother :) If i could see myself owning another ford, id probably go with the ford. just had to many in the past with to many finnicky small issues, power window dramas, rattles, creeks, etc hopefully the fg is a step in the right direction, it definately looks the goods :) I must also ad, Toyota are pretty damn flexible with the pricing on TRD aurions as they arent selling that well I doubt ford would be flexible with it being such a new car, so make sure if you decide to look closely at the TRD you negotiate the best price
  2. read what you wrote, look how many corollas, yaris's and camrys are sold then tell me how many are modified "majority" this entire conversation went to *****, the legalties of someones car come down to the owners choice, who cares, what your saying is irrelevant and ramble Sif anyone sane uses a yaris at a track event anyway lol
  3. Fishing line is the shot! :) generally the model spec is just stuck on with double sided tape and the brand symbol is stuck on with plastic pins i think not sure with the aurion
  4. i think the only thing aurionish about it would be the front end, "slight resemblance" pretty sweet though :) lol it sure is possible, top fuel dragsters do 0-100 in about .5 sec crazy fast! 2 spd, 3 spd autos etc
  5. I wouldnt hesitate, Justcar are a big well known company and owned by aami as mentioned, if anything id expect better customer service from then when compared to NRMA How old are you? and whats your driving history like? $1512 a year seems very expensive! Have you tried any others? allianz, gio, etc? Ultimately an insurance company legally cannot deny your claim because your car has an intake and wheels, i imagine your wheels are completely legal anyway? Tyre condition would be more of an issue, and even then its very hard to deny a claim on this.
  6. looks like yours will buff right out pretty impressive considering how much damage you describe the corolla had!

  8. :) a step by step guide would be great, sounds like its a pretty easy install hard to many previous cars with too many wires lol just after something clean, simple and oem looking sounds like the perfect solution :)
  9. Never seen or heard of one, but on an interesting note i did see footage of an offroad dune buggy with a twin turbo 3.5L toyota engine (same as the aurion motor) 700hp+ and it sounded like an animal
  10. One thing i will say about Skylines, is that alot of GTST's dont run like they should, lots of issues with the coil packs and spark plugs rather easy to fix but they run like crap without it done :P An aurion would walk all over a rough running GTST (rb20/Rb25t)
  11. Most good insurance policies nowadays will include a 2 year new replacement cover on new cars So in the first two years if you can get the cover there is no real benefit in Agreed vs Market Value My car is around $900, includes Excess free windscreen cover. TRD Aurion 3500S, 21 yr old driver Not too bad, im sure i can get them lower though, will negotiate with them ^_^
  12. Alot of new cars have the same design, works alright really
  13. I did notice on the website with them for sale it quotes "Compatible with most OEM steering wheel controls " Would be nice if theres a fix though
  14. Sounds good :) I think i'll go for it, for the price i wouldnt be too bothered if it wasnt what i expect Steering wheel button perfect function doesnt really bother me! had the buttons on my last car all of about a month before going to an aftermarket unit Buttons that work at all is a gain for me :) One more thing, does anyone have a photo of the antennas etc required for this unit when there installed? Does it look clean? Thanks
  15. Rx & GTS Sure, why not
  16. 11.3L/100km/h in First Week Not bad considering havent exactly been trying to get good economy
  17. How is the feel of this unit overall when using? do they buttons feel up to OEM standard? seems almost to good to be true lol
  18. :) Interested to hear how you get on, wouldnt mind changing my catback system but i dont want overally loud either just a nice hum
  19. Yea with my old car its caused by any water thats running off the roof, down the b pillar etc water drying in that spot Will happen with rain, after washing the car, or even dew run off in the morning, very annoying, particular noticeable on darker cars Not alot you can do to stop it unfortunately :(
  20. My old car did the same thing, good cleaning products will remove the marks Claybar, prewax cleaner or something
  21. Good to hear you finally got results, sounds pretty stressful The only complaint i have with my car so far is a dash noise over rough surfaces from the front right of the dash, sounds like a clips been left out or something? and the dash is tapping against itself any one else has this issue? any DIY fixes?
