  1. Damn, thats filthy. Lucky where I live can still wash car. BTW, did you race that black VK up front? Just jokes! :D
  2. I recommend saving all your pennies, and getting the headers, intake and cat-back exhaust all at once. :P That is a great recomendation! I think I will paint the brakes, drop it a bit.... Then do the triple bunger CES style! Not much change from $2K with dual tip and S/S flanges and K&N filter? Glad you are stoked with newfound HP. :)
  3. Seeing as Sportivo's ended their run in 05, I would say most owners had niggling issues sorted under warranty. But as all have said, take for a test drive and I think you will be pleasntely surprised. I have owned mine for about 4 weeks and am wrapped in it. This is the lowest HP car I have owned in years but I am having a blast in it. Good bang for your buck overall.
  4. I couldnt be happier with my car right now! Except maybe those springs to have it handling a little better. ;) You will definately not regret doing these mods to your car. Totally worth it. As to not changing between the extractors and cat, I couldn't really tell you. I do know that the stock cat in the Sportivo is quite big for what it is! And I am pretty sure the piping was 2.25" all the way through, someone correct me if I am wrong. The replacement from the cat back is now 2.5" which I think is pretty big for a 1.8L. Maybe ask someone like SB or Northy, they'll definately no more about it! Thanks to everyone for your kind comments. I'm sure the guys from tonights cruise would have something to say as well. :P Next thing to do is to take those damn Sportivo badges off, and then get my King Springs installed. Then, Power FC and Turbo... only kidding. ;) Cool, thanks Nate. That is huge pipe for a 1.8L NA. I guess i will have to stop being lazy and put it up on jack stands and take a look. Time to start saving for some mods, oh what to do first!
  5. In my opinion only, I would not put ethanol anywhere near my cars.
  6. Have owned four V8's over the last 6 years and have just bought a Corolla Sportivo to save some money on petrol. I have kept a V8 as a toy and the sportivo was meant to be a cheap run around. I bought this so i would not spend money on it. Now after owning it for a little while, I want to modify it. Doh. Its just a fun little car that has great fuel returns, not to mention insurance and rego.
  7. I have used it only once last weekend after washing and before polishing. For my first attempt as an experiment, I thought it was fantastic. My paint has alot of minor and bad abrasions and swirls from previous owner. It certainly cleared up alot of the minor issues. For $18 I think it is money well spent. After reading above posts, I am keen to get back into it.
  8. Damn, I just read this thread and cant make it cause of more marriage arranging crap! Look forward to next cruise to meet some of you guys and see some possible mods for my stivo. Drive safe and stay outta trouble!
  9. Sweet mate. I bet you are happy. The exhaust will only sound sweeter as the carbon builds up. I want to do these mods myself. Why no change in between extractors and cat? Im just curious thats all, is there no need to change the diameter of the pipe?
  10. Bits are ****ty for Mitsubishi Daihatsu thats poo = Daihatsu thats who One for the Ford lovers- Dunnydoor for Commodore I should not say that about Commodores as my last 4 cars have been V8 Commodore and I have loved every one of them. Still have 2!
  11. Sure is safe, id say even better for the car. I tend to try and stick to Shell, followed by BP. It's personel preference though, but from what I have read and heard it seems to be the goer.
  12. Lucky you! What are you getting done?
  13. Not sure for above question. But my fiancee has 03 ascent, and I like its cluster colour better than my stivo's.
  14. HaHa, that made me laugh my ***** off. Good on you Kenneth, for the dedication.

Mate, she looks tops. What are they 17's? Very clean ride.
  16. That is one of the better ones i have seen of the new breed, still warming too them. Im with SilvaBullit, prefer 03, 04 Stivo. I am slightly biased though.
  17. Gday Silverback. It is exciting times for both of us. I just got a blue 04 Sportivo with 41ks last friday. Love it, lots of fun to get in a front wheel drive again. Have fun with your new ride!
