  2. And here is what the standard Aurion looks like in QPS decals.....
  3. SV21

    TRD.25

Saw this on the way back from Mooloolaba yesterday afternoon. B) Given the Qld corporate number plate I'd say it's a reps/dealer principal's drive car .... ;)
  4. My photo collection of number plates is too large to start lisiting here however if you want to see more good number plates and understand more about plates from anywhere then try here: http://www.plateshed.com/forum/index.php?act=portal
  5. My first car ever was a 1979 Corolla - was a great car,old lady owner and low kays, perfect as a first car. :D Have had Holdens,A BMW,A Mazda 626,another two Holdens and then was offered a 1987 SV21 CSX sedan for free from a friend who had a govt job transfer far away and the dept he worked for would only transport one car up for him so it had to be off-loaded. I got the Roadworthy certificate for it,registered it,bought two new front tyres for it and changed the oil so far and have done approx 10,000 km's on it in about 16 months with no dramas. This particular model seem to be so easy to drive and not that difficult to get parts for either. As a daily driver for getting to work and even long trips this is a comfortable and pleasant car to cruise in. That's good enough for me. N.B. I found a 1988 exec sedan off ebay for my younger sister who just got her Provisional license and needed a first car and she loves driving it,so they are now becoming a family fave.....
  6. The Aurion photo I posted is of a TRD Aurion (note the TRD badging on the rear bumper) :)
  7. This was in use on the roads as of a month or so ago in QLD. B) There's likely to be others still in use for the State Traffic Task Force.
  8. Rising cost of petrol.....? Sure it's an issue,so first thing without even needing to discuss the physics of turning cars off whilst going down hills, carby Vs EFI etc. Plan ahead what trips you are making and make the most of ANY drive you do by doing as much as possible (within reason) and thus not have to drivethe car as often. This helps a lot with local,small-range trips. If you can walk, yes W A L K it's a long known and proven way of transporting yourself at short-ish distances and of course is not as good for trips more than a few Km's in our very "have it ALL done NOW" lifestyle however it does not cause pain and makes for better health within yourself. Dependence on cars is very overrated, sure it's cool to cruise and enjoy your pride and joy but I wonder if we are just plain getting soft with this whole approach of seeing cars as our ONLY source of transport option? ;) Oh and bicycles still hold the record for being the most efficient means of transport.
  9. This is a step in the right direction as reliance on 100 year old mechanics is now becoming obviously redundant and dangerous to us. Solar is the way to go as is some of the other ideas slowly being R and D'd.
  10. G'day,Newbie to this forum and newbie-ish Toyota owner also Have a 1987 SV21 CSX sedan, five speed and am lovin it,that might sound strange but I just find this model such a delight to drive... Liked them so much I found my younger sister an 88 model sdean (auto) as her first car - so far she is liking it a lot, says it's real easy to drive and comfortable ride. Hope that being interested in this particular model isn't considered odd? Anyways, looking forward to getting to know everyone over time and have some fun on here too!! :D
