  1. I think they are toyota, since I found this in the other dealers as well. They have a silver screen mounted on the top next to the rear mirror. The display panel is not quite attractive. I know if I buy Toyota parts, it will keep its value. Photograph yours and see it is different, then I will consider buying that from your dealer.
  2. Add your comment in the fuel consumption thread http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=13314 Sorry the thread had not much input so far :(
  3. AWD Grande is 64490 plus on road RRP. RRP on the road is 71K. $57K is surely under cost price.

    New Kluger

I highlighted what I think why it worths $7K. (in bold) I think it is why it worths $9K over the KX-S in bold. Grande owners have you find the italic items in your car? I can't make the compass working?
  5. Sounds like you have a good deal there. I am jealous!
  6. I heard that before! In fact I think it is from the dealer. And a German said that in one of his article, when he borrow a car in Australia to drive... may be it is the same one. BTW I think you can use the manual one to engage any gear? Can you just use manual mode and force it into 6th on highway? I am so jealous man. Can you get one Sahara diesel under $100K driveaway?

    New Kluger

Guess what, my membership number is early one not because I am a toll . I used to own a 99' Camry V6, so I used to drive the old V6 that we have now . Memory still here. I have to admit that I treated the Camry like ****, never wash it until it gets spider web, oil change every 50000km and red line it all the time! As we grows we can have our space??? :spiteful:
  8. What a great find Tae! It is turn off able! (if it is proper English ). It is hidden in the left of steering wheel, lower down in the dash. There is a small well for it and you can push and hold it for several seconds to disengage completely. It is in the owner's manual. This is what I get in the city drive. So stop complaining! The CX-7 returns 16L/100km while claiming 11L/100km. CX-9........ Not sure about it. It is more like a turboed rotary Agree. I am thinking about it now True, I wish it is a sports car! Again, he probs did not read the owner's manual, but who does. He prob asked the dealer salemen about it and I am sure they don't have a bloody clue. Where does he want advice. Come to here! Lovely photo though. I am planning to go offroad again in Easter. Any suggestion in Victoria. Wanna do Grampians but wife said "we have been there"

    New Kluger

Welcome Kaos... I have PMed the moderator about this. But anyhow, in the meantime we can get all the heading in our thread [Kluger] or have the word Kluger in the title, so people will click on it.
  10. I have similar price but I have a trade, which is very high compare to other dealers (like Land Rover or even back to Mazda), so I don't really know. It is very hard, coz the stock is different and everyone is different. You tends to get more when you pay cash. And I don't. Having said that. I have brought my last 2 sports car at RRP, just to be one of the first to get one (it was a Honda Integra R in 1999, and an RX-8 in 2003). Many of the regular here gets fleet prices, which I had a hard time accepting j/k. Having paying high price, I have the car delivered with full tank of petrol in 2 weeks, in mint condition. At the end of the day, enjoy the experience; money is secondary; althought I am doing a day of overtime to pay for it :P.
  11. How do you want me to explain... it is in the user manual. What model *(Grande or KX-S) you are having again. It is simply pairing the phone to a device (car phone) and it is different in different model of phone. Suggest to look up how to pair up blue tooth devices on your phone as well. It is the exact procedure as your bluetooth headset.
  12. I still can't find the RCA plugs.... con thread from the US.
  13. Not sure what you are on about. They have not got the whole shipment yet, why you cannot get a Black with cream leather?
  14. I could come and show you the car... or book a Grande for you to drive???
  15. Yeah my racing lap times are slow... I can catch any car on the road with my Kluger I refer to downshifting at 100kmh up a big hill like going a long 10% gradiant hill. It is not bad just the fact that I expect a big engine will survive those. I am sure a HSV V8 will even they weight nearly the same .
  16. After 2km from the Ada Tree car park we are here After that we go back to Starling Gap and going via Smyth Creek Road. It is on the GPS mostly. GPS thoughts: It is a pretty good unit and even it is off road, the entry and exit part of it leading to tarmac is very clearly marked. The GPS is a bit weak between the high tree and only about 10m away but it is still quite good. Useful coordinates. I converted it to mins and sec so you can key in to the SatNav in your Kluger. Yarra Junction - 37m46'54"S 145m36'57"E Powell Town - 37m 57'39"S 145m44'40"E Ada Tree Reserve - 37m 49'1"S 145m52'5"E I thought I should have marked the Starling Gap, but it is so simple to get to because of the simple sign posting! Of Smyth road is a bit bumpy and slow down, get my Clarkson ego out <_< and do about 20-30kph will do. The map is here. The orange part is our route. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l230/tak...er/76f24499.jpg
  17. Click for large pic.... I did that yesterday and it is a very good drive. Very easy to do and it comprises mainly well formed gravel road and dirt track. Some clay compound so even the travel book (4WD treks close to Melbourne) not advising traveling during wet days or has been raining. So after 6 days of dry Melbourne summer heat, without bush fire , so we had a go for our first real off road drive. There it is. We started off going to have a good preparation with picnic food, water, tyre pressure gauge with let off valve (well I just use the racing one that I have for track days), and oh... I forgot my tyre pressure pump. <_< . Oh I had plenty of DVD for the girls at the back. . Driving from the Yarra Junction you turn right and heading to Powelltown. The GPS will have those details. It even have the Big Creek Road that we start off the route with. I dropped the tyre pressure from 39psi on highway to 32psi for gravel tracks. Rally stage is on and you will see the Ada tree post Well form dirt track with very tall tree, perfect for summer days. The road is so easy that I have a bit of Jeremy Clarkson in me when I drive it... POWER!.. Found someone dropping their transmission on the side of the road... hang on the guide said it is a old logging Winch. Go straight ahead Not long we come to Starling Gap Picnic/Camping area. That is actually pretty small (I thought camping round is much larger ). Driving from Starling Gap to Ada tree road via Big Creek road there are lots of climbing and on some low vegetation area you can see how high you are! Sign post to Ada tree park

    New Kluger

Somehow I think how come. I order my car before Oct and deliver within 2 weeks! We were thinking if we should change from Crystal Pearl or Graphite but the dealer told me that your car was here! I am not paying much more than you are and I am private with trade in and on finance. Company is paying for it every month with my slight overtime compensation... I cannot complain.
  19. Wise man have spoken. I have met a few people get their Kluger without much discount from Toyota from the RPP. Yes it will be close to $70K. I think it is going to be a bell curve and I am sitting right in the middle ;). Mate, wellcome! Private fleet still have to earn your money and let them be. Get a good car and good service from them. It is aftermarket and depends what your dealer use. I found most dealer are using the same thing in Melbourne and they are bfugly. I am sorry my lang but it is so substandard for the $1000 they are going to charge. I decide not to have it even it could have been free from the deal. I can spend $500 for a cool unit overseas. Just saw my cousin's one in Hong Kong, aftermarket, the display and beep make you feel like a fighter pilot. iPod integration. There are ICE units and they work well with other Toyota and many models, but we have to find out which one works for your car. They are US and I suspect that the US Highlander uses the different headunit. Once I am able to find out the spec of the unit. I will post something in the US forum and I will see I can get some ICE unit installed. Wellcome! I don't believe how many Grande are there now. When I remember the old Kluger most people go for the CVX or CV. It is such a change. GPS has the best voice direction there is. I conclude that after I have use some other portable units like Garmin and Tom Tom. It is closer to Tom Tom style when they give you good direction over voice and the update is SO FAST! The map is so accurate in town and the GPS signal is so strong that I can even turn in the exact spot in the corner of a CBD street. Perfect. I used to miss a turn and get redirected in the Garmin. Yes it can get updated. Just buy the new DVD when it comes out. I am trying to get them that I am going off road at 100kmh when I do the Tullamarine Bypass and the Pakenham bypass.... I will call them non-stop when the Eastlink is out haha

How you guys find the roll of the car so far? I am looking to contact Whiteline for an upgrade, but they are in Sydney so I need some guinea pigs.....

    Reverse cam

YES it is way better in the Grade ;) . It is really, coz I never experience any problem and the light from the rear brake is sometimes good enough. I rely on it so much you don't believe. I am down to the last cm from my tow car to the front bumper of the car behind What you have to aware of though Tae is not to be too aggressive with the light. It may make it worse. I sometimes experience a lot of glare from spot lights and it clearly documented in the driver manual. So I guess it will be worse if you glare your 3.5" screen. Bigger is not better? :o
  22. Crossing the Pacific to see what they have in the Greenback states. One forum member suggested that there is a RCA plug to the DVD system and can play PS3 in ti Link here: http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=225209 If it is good I won't be driving the car anymore. I will be at the back seat with the kids playing Wii I cannot find where they said it supposed to be located. So I concluded that either I cannot find it from all the junks there is already in the boot atm; Or it is not wired up. So I looked up the owners manual. Nothing. But I found one interesting fact: What is the VIDEO button on the machine and on the remote for??
  23. I have good news for you boleh. YOU HAVE A FULL SIZE CURTAIN AIRBAG.... FREE! Since I am 100% sure I have curtain air bag fully to the end of the car. In fact, it is in their brochure!
  24. I will go for Uniden. Their non-handheld one have the best coverage. I think the truck drivers mostly use them.
  25. We do have 10 holders. Count the one on the sides too. 3 on each side and 4 in the front. If you count the centre 2nd row, you have 12! We prob do not have the knee air bag and I think they count the curtain airbag as 3...
