Where to fit UHF

2014 Model Landcruiser Altitude driven by a 1940 vintage male.

Looking to find best location for mounting a new Uniden UH 8060S Radio with remote Speaker/Mike.

Well, the question, what is your budget and where(roof, dash, etc.) would you prefer to install it?

Hi Trent,

I was hoping that a current LC Owner would be able to identify the best location for the Base Unit.

I do not want to fit a roof Pod.

I have a brake controller fitted under dash.

A Hema Navigator sits on the dash.

The electrics under the seat appears to rule out fitting the Base Unit under the seat.

Hopefully some Owner will come to the rescue

Hi denso,

I recently fitted a GME 3550S to my Landcruiser 200 series I fabricated a bracket from aluminium using factory bolts

Under the dash on the drivers side. The mic I mounted on the dash drilling 2 knockouts to avoid drilling the the dash.The knockouts are cheap and easy to replace if you want to remove the unf.

The fabrication didn't  take too the designing took the time.
