Hi peoples,

Just inherited a 94 Corolla and desperately NEED to upgrade the 3 speaker sound system (yes, you read that right....3 *working* speakers!)

I wanted to scope out the front door speakers, to see what the original size was and how hard it might be to "upsize".

But....

I can't figure out how to get the door trim off!!!

I took the screw out of the door handle cup, removed the window handle, got the top off the armrest and removed two screws from there, and eased out all the studs from around the perimeter off the door trim, but the door handle cup won't come off and the door card seems to be retained there somehow?!?

Any pointers as to how to get the trim all the way off would be much appreciated! :help::help:

Also - if anyone can tell me what the original speaker sizes for the car are, it'd be appreciated! (I tried to measure and it seems like the front door speakers are 130mm (5.25") and the rears are some strange oval size - look like about 140x127mm (7"x5")?

Thanks!

Penny

Hey Penny, that's a dilly of a pickle!

I don't know much about '94 Corollas, the guys at twincam.org or rollaclub.com probably would though
