Worst show ever. HOWEVER! if you guys recall DriveTV on channel ten a few years back hosted by that stahly dude was a blatant rip off top gear. They had a studio with the cars, with a live audience. AND they had a masked dude called "The Chip" who did powerlaps. The chip? Huh? The stig? But man! Shoulda seen his powerlaps, he was powersliding all over the place... oh yeah, definintely the quickest way to get a car around a track.

hahaha sounds like 5th gear.... Evo 9 v some rear wheel drive car

"The evo is very fast in a straight line, but just cant handle the cornering like the (rear drive car). It refuses to hang the rear end out"

Considering how mediocre the whole review was (driving normally, talking normally, nothing interesting at all) the only entertainment in the whole show was watching "the chip" give it a hard time around Oran Park. Which is of course about 1/20th of the enjoyment you get from listening to the poms bag cars (or praise them) with their subtle brand of humour WHILST turning semi-slicks into smoke.

did anyone happen to watch Top Gear tonight... i haven't seen it in a while so i flipped the channel n it was on today... and omg the cinematography is SUPERB the commentary is SUPERB the director is a GENIOUS the editing is CRAZY... and then i pictured 'The Car Show' to compare it to Top Gear n i started cracking up...

Top Gear is a true work of art, you're right. Every shot is so perfect... Couldn't be done better.

Clarkson's voice is a classic too, it's funny just listening to him: "And now it's time, for this..." - "THE POWER.... IS UNBELIIIEEVABLE" - "All we know is, he's called the Stig"

I was thinking, and then it hit me. The car show doesnt even use filters on their cameras.

But it this way, Top Gear puts them all to shame. I mean who else could make a p.o.s rent-a-car beat an evo 8? (started in top gear and the evo never got to spool :P)

All the rest are just ****. Unless of course Tiff is in it

      Times have changed post-COVID and no great bargain oil specials worth mentioning until now. Latest Repco catalogue has 50% discount Penrite Vantage Semi Synthetic 10W-40 Engine Oil 6L - VANSEMI10W40006. $35 for 6 litres is worth considering whether it will be applicable for your vehicle's engine and servicing requirements. Because most of my driving is short distance and as preventative measure against oil sludge, I use a comparatively short oil change interval between 3-6 months. It is a cost benefit decision.       Advice Please

      I have an imported Hiace 200 with the 2.0l 1TR FE petrol, engine. There is a noise from the engine that i'm pretty sure is the alternator. I'm finding it difficult to source a new alternator at a reasonable price, It seems there are plenty for the 2.7 engine. Does anyone know if one of those would fit my 2.l engine. Thanks

      Hi Team Toyota, I am fortunate enough to be the proud owner of 2 Toyota's - an '03 Rav4 AWD Cruiser and an '07 Toyota Hiace. Both have been reliable and strong with incredible components that are so well fitted, it's a struggle to dismantle any part of them. I'm modifying my van and will probably have to sell the Rav to complete the project. I will look forward to learning much from you all and wish you all happy and safe motoring. Gidget

      Car Detailing Recommendations

      I recently came across Car Detailing Sydney, and they seem to be a great option for getting your car detailed around the area. I had my friend’s 2020 Camry detailed there, and it turned out fantastic—the shine was like it just rolled off the dealership lot. It cost about $400, and they were really thorough with both the exterior and interior. Definitely worth checking out if you want your Corolla looking fresh again.

      Landcruiser 200 GPS

      I got mine from GTzone, a 7-inch head unit for my 2018 Land Cruiser. I think all the aftermarket Android screens are very similar. My one from GTzone came with a GPS antenna, I believe the one from Brummstadt should include one as well. It has two options for using the navigation app, one is to insert a SIM card or share a hotspot from your phone to use the navigation apps, which uses the built-in GPS antenna, the other is to use the built-in Apple CarPlay system, which uses the phone’s GPS for navigation. In my case, because I always travel to the outback during my vacations, some areas have no signal at all. So, I downloaded offline maps from the Play Store to use for navigation, which doesn’t need internet during navigation and only uses the built-in GPS. It saves your phone’s power at the same time, I guess?       300 series turbo issues

      We have a GR that had the 7th Injector replaced June 2024 (warning came up on dash Dec 2023 @ approx 18k) toyota cleaned injector in Jan when they inspected the problem and said parts will be 8 - 12 weeks (i dont know why so long for a common problem) but they advised to continue to drive / tow as normal. 3 months later parts arrived and they said they will complete job at june 2yr service interval. It was notated on paperwork torque bolts were re torqued. Today driving up blue mountains 70kmh to Katoomba towing 3.2T Zone RV van i experienced the turbo chirp on and off and the power dropping / surging. Lasted about 5-10 secs going up mountain but gave me a shock as havent experienced it before (hence the googling now and reading about previous issues) it didnt happen again but we arrived at caravan park 15 mins later and i didnt find a hill again with same steep incline as when it happened. In the 18 months of towing i havent experienced it before and car has been faultless. Todays trip was only fm Toowoon Bay to Katoomba so be interesting to see if it happens when we head to Bathurst in a few days on any steep inclines. Car is at 33k now. Currently 1 month into a 5 month trip.

      I have a 2003 Cruiser that has done a bearing. My car is in beautiful condition otherwise. I've enquired at wreckers but to be honest they are asking far too much. Any help, referral, suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

      2013 Toyota Rav4 diesel head gasket issues

      Hi everyone .. I have a 2013 Toyota Rav4 diesel .. which has blown a head gasket at 120,000 kms while we were on holidays .. it is being repaired .. $5K later .. and I'm seriously thinking about selling it. Wondering if others have this issue or if it is a know deficiency in the diesels I have had 2 other Rav's both petrol with no issues like this and it is way too early in the life of the car to be dealing with these issues I would have thought.
