Queensland police have bought 11 of them. I think the best thing to come from this is that its going to help its image but best of all given the relative lack of information on this new model... is that the Police would have test driven it and are happy with it. So all those who think it will have lots of torque steer etc might wanna rethink their original position!!! :yahoo:

P.S It also tells us that if you wanna be a cop, go to Queensland. These are not the first performance cars they have got in their line up, they also have Typhoons among all others.

clearly i'd go to NSW if i wanted to be a cop - i reckon the lotus exige would be a lot more fun than any Aurion/Typhoon

ACT had the Turbo Volvo which someone put into a wall... chasing a WRX. so then they got a WRX.. LOL.

now they just got boring commonwhores

nice, I'm starting to like the Aurion already! :toast:

ive got a zr6 in gold. Fast indeed. Theres a new red trd aurion near my house but couldnt locate his house yet to go and introduce myself to see if i could go for a test drive. LOL

muahahahah if you live in victoria, call me as well so we can make it doubles :) 2 aurions versus cops lol + also we'll notify channel ten to broadcast from the air :P

How did you see a TRD aurion when they aren't released as yet? Also in your signature you have 209kw, what have you done to your aurion?

Mate thats why i was shocked. the car isnt released yet and i saw it without any coverings full on with registered plates everything. it was obvious that the guy jst got it new but how he got it before the release date i am not sure of. Maybe the guy was using the car for a commercial. Who knows but i did saw it bare naked. Looked stunning. He went towards my street so maybe he lives near me. Thats why im searching for it every day i drive towards my house lol. I was at the show when the aurion was revealed and one of the chief engineers from toyota said the engine itself was rated at 209kw/353nm on 98pulp. 204kw is reached with 95 pulp thats why it kinda makes sence that the extra 4 kw is gained with the 98 pulp. No mods yet. Also from dyno results for the engine output shows 204kw on 95 pulp. From 95 to 98 does have a signifant power rise so i believe its true.

      1zz-fe engine rebuild

      Hello all, Working on my 2002 corolla. It needs a engine rebuild due to burning oil out the back. It has over 400,000 km on it and I havent looked after it. Everything is still original on the motor. The only thing that I have replaced, was the brushes on the alternator. They were completely worn out. I am pulling the motor/gearbox out of the car. Wont know the condition of the block or head until I strip it down. I know the design of the piston where changed in the 2003+ models for more oil holes, which stopped the buring of oil. 1. Was there any other changes made ? 2. Does anyone know of where I can get a engine rebuild kit for 1zz-fe motor in australia ? 3. I have only found one place that I can get a new short motor built but that is in the USA and they do ship to australia but was hoping to find something in australia Thanks for help. Dragon

      2007 Corolla Sedan rear seatbelt question

      Hi everyone, new member here. I've got a small problem which I'm hoping you can help me sort out. I've read the "read me first" thread and done a forum search so apologies if this ends up being a repost. Ok, so I've just has a bloody mouse chew through the rear seat and half (but only half) of every rear seatbelt. Which is nice. So I need to replace them. The problem I appear to have is that none of the local breakers have any suitable vehicles that I can pull them from and the ones I ordered and was sent from the bay of fleas has the wrong brackets on, despite being allegedly for that vehicle. Further searches come up with every seller showing the wrong bracket, so either I've got a special car which is different just because, or (more likely) they don't know their ****s from their elbows what they're selling. I'm after some aftermarket ones as they never get used and just need to be there to get through rego so don't really want to spend a heap of cash I don't have on genuine parts if I can avoid it. I've replaced the centre one (a mate just randomly had it in a box in his shed, which was handy) but still need the left and right. I've attached the bracket type I pulled from the car and need. Is this a standard generic Toyota seatbelt or specific to the 2007 Corolla sedan? Does is need to be specifically for the rear left and right or do front ones fit? Does anyone know where I can source an aftermarket pair? I will really, really appreciate any help offered with this, I know my way around a box of tools but very little about mechanikicing (which is part of the reason why I bought this car - something simple to learn on as repairs/replacements become due) and this is a simple fix which is turning into a drawn out headache.       Hi all, Wondering if anyone has had this issue. I recently purchased a 2007 200 series landcruiser, and the amplifier for the air con unit stopped working. Part number 88650-60D60. (Looks like a circuit board) All controls for the air con now do not work, very frustrating in winter when you dont have any way to unfog your windscreen. Toyota have informed me that they no longer produce this part, and there is nothing superseeded to fit in it's place. My question is has anyone had this problem? If so what did you do to fix it? I have got onto an auto sparky who has had a go at fixing the circuit board but its unserviceable. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

      Engine oil dipstick reading

      Hi guys, Probably a silly question... I'm having trouble reading my engine oil dipstick on my Toyota Hilux 2010 3.0 Turbo Diesel. I have warmed up the engine, turned off for ~10 minutes, parked on a level surface. Pulled out the dipstick, wipe it and insert it back to the bottom and carefully lift it up. I tried so many times and the two sides always look different. I couldn't read it. Maybe I just don't understand how to read it. Could someone help? Thanks a lot!!!
