Even though the rumour quickly turned into real information and got spread all over the internet, we decided to patiently wait for the official answer and photos from Mugen to confirm that...yes, the Honda Civic Type RR will soon be available in Japan for an impressive 4.777.500 JPY!

Little reminder: the second "R" stands for more HP(225-240) and torque (21.9-22.2kg/m), a 30kg weight reduction, a lowered body (-15mm) and many other things that probably wouldn't mean much without a proper test drive...and...as if this new version wasn't enough of a good news to the performance enthusiasts, I have the pleasure to tell you that I 'll have the chance to get my hands on one of those babies in September!

MMM i like it I want one How do i go about getting one?? Is honda Australia selling these in australia and if so how much??

thats $50,000AU.....i could think of alot of other cars that i would be looking at before spending $50K on a civic....

The current ones are 43k on the road so 50k isn't so bad compared to that. When compared to what else is available though, yeah you're right, it is expensive. I'm sure hardcore Honda fans will pay whatever it takes to get their hands on one of these.

Very nice car btw. How's that Civic Dominator coming along?

im no honda fan!

but i tell you what i think this one will scream for the price!!!

mazda mps in same price range, golf R32 holden astra VXR costs about the same!!

so its priced well for the power and size of it.

those goodies cost more than 50k~

and i think it will be more than 50k~ coz that amount doesnt include tax in aust etc...

but agian... if you add up the maths, for someone who gets a type r and tune it themselve would prob cost more, and usually stock tuned cars are more refined...

More proof that the JDM Type R Civic sedan is heaps better than the Type R Civic hatch Honda are selling here.
