I'm pretty sure they would all be the same (it'd be kinda weird if they were different) mine's red and the paint code is like 200 or 210 (something like that).....i got the red spary can from autobarn to paint my eyelids/grille.....it's an awesome match....

i wouldnt go to autobarn for an exact match.

i had the colour code of my corolla but the silver colour they gave me was solely based on the info they had on their computers. they didnt go out and take a look at the colour of my car to see how well their colour actually matched, so it didnt match perfectly.. not to my liking anyway. buying paint there kinda reminded me of ordering a big mac meal from macdonalds...

if your car is a few years old (mine is '03), the colour may have changed by the slightest bit coz of sun and weather exposure etc.

theres a place in toongabie that gives more accurate colourmatch (but depends on whos serving you at the time.. if you dont ast the right person you get the autobarn service). they actually go out to the car with the bucket of paint to see how well their colour matches your car. oh yea they sell it in whatever amount you need, so they do have spray cans, as well as the primers, clearcoats, and equipment you need like spray guns and compressor parts if you wanna do more serious work.

na autobarn asked the specific questions, they asked what year model and paint code number so all the info was correct, just the colour still wasnt an exact match.

true its all based on experience, im just saying that you shouldnt expect a 100% match 100% of the time with autobarn.

the place i was talking bout before was:

V.G. Auto Paints & Tools

Touch Up Paints, Colour Matching, Tools & Equipment, Polishes & More

11 Amax Ave Girraween NSW 2145

ph: (02) 9636 5411

http://www.vgautopaints.com.au/

i bought paint from this place a few times.. first time they colourmatched exactly, the second time they did it the same way autobarn did it, but the paint i got there was still closer to the autobarn paint. id trust these guys more because paint is all they specialise in!? autobarn got a bit of most things car related.. kinda like the difference between going to the gp and a specialist.

The Silver for pre and post facelift are different. the facelift model used a darker silver than the pre-facelift models. The computer may only have the formula for the later "silver" colour.

Spot on there!

Post facelift is darker and almost heading towards a gunmetal shade. Very nice I think.

One of our Canberra boys (Sheldon - AKA - Order_last_one) has the facelift silver and its one tuff looking machine, although he has some nice Mods too!
