well...2weeks ago I got caught speeding, was doing 80 in a 50 zone

it was an on-spot-fine, the cop gave me two tickets, one for speeding one for not bring licnece

and I paid them both on last thursday, it's been a week now,

still havnt got any letter from the RTA...

I was told that, by law the rta has to notify me 28days before the suspension period starts..

ummm....didnt know about this..means that afta i receive the letter, i havta wait 28days for the commencement of suspension period

damnnnnnn i was guna go overseas next month...was thinkin tht i could get some holidays when I got my licence suspended..

does any1 know, approximately how long it takes the rta to send me the letter?

heard that once the payments have been made, the infringement department has to process and pass it to the RTA...and the RTA will decide wat2 do

and from wat i heard...the RTA would send me the letter within 21days when the payments have been made..

then, do i havta wait for 21days+28days til i actually get my licence suspended!?!?! jesuss...

And if my memory serves me correct, once u get your license back your back to square one, and you have to wait 12 months after you get your license back before u even think about ringing up too go and sit that faggy green P plate test....

probation? wats it about? never heard of it.

Btw, I am still on my red Ps, am I eligible for the probation?

thanks~

Sorry didnt realise u were on red p's

Probation is if ur on your full licence, but if u get caught during a probabtion u loose your licence for double the orginal suspension....

You will just have to wait for you letter to say you loose your licence as of this date.... nothing more you can do about it

Have you even contacted the RTA yourself??!?! Perhaps you should be a bit more proactive in dealing with your own fate. Ring them instead of getting mixed reports from various internet goers like us. That way, any questions you have should be cleared - and you will know your legal requirements during this period.

I just hope your phone manner is more coherent than your typing...
