Caldina engine upgrade

Just trolling for information on the possibility of mating a 1jz/2jz with a Toyota Caldina 4wd box.

Next to, if not, impossible. JZ series is RWD, Caldina 4WD drivetrain is front-wheel drive setup. Good luck fitting an east-west gearbox behind a north-south engine.

Or if you're wanting to do this in a Caldina, good luck fitting a north-south engine in a bay designed for an east-west one

i wouldnt bother with it but then ive seen a 1uz shoved in a caldina with a couple of turbos hanging off it

think that goes without saying but why would you need to go to such extremes on a car like that?

Because some people like things to be unique

Like the guy on Toymods who put a twin-turbo (and wants to add a supercharger) 1UZ into a ST185 GT4, converted to rear wheel drive.

Or the other one who put a 1UZ and full Nissan GTR 4WD running gear into a TA22
