To be honest, back in 07, i actually had my sights on a brand new [current shape] Corolla Acsent to replaced my beloved 1999 corolla. I actually only considered 2 cars. The honda civic sedan and the corolla. The sedan felt too big and i was put off pretty quickly. At first, i quite liked the corolla. LOoks were somewhat modern.... but after i drove it, it felt lifeless and really made me feel disconnected from the road. I was also fairly disappointed with the engine as well. I was pretty excited about the Dual VVTi with 100kw at the engine.. but it felt the same as my old 1.8L corolla.... Not a bad thing.... since i tihnk the AE102 1.8L engine was a damn good one, but i was just expecting much more..

There was a mazda dealership nearby and i thought... what the heck.. lets go have a look.. i came out the same day.. having signed the papers for a brand new 3.. awaiting delivery =P

The corolla is a good car, but in terms of driving dynamics, the 3 is just in a whole different league.... and with some suspension mods, its even better =D
