i got an email from my old man. forwarded this to me.

Here are some tricks to help you get your money's worth:

i dont know if its just bs but im sure some of it would be realistically real.

agree with not filling up when a tanker is there as i have done so in my old car ended up with dirty petrol and no ar for a week while it was being fixed luckily the service station paid for repairs

I was thinking about the temperature quotient recently, and figured that the sheer amount of energy required to heat the underground fuel tanks to make a significant temperature change of even 1 degree would have to be heee-yooge! The mean temperature of earth at that depth does not change much at all in all types of whether, similar to the ocean temp staying fairly similar through the seasons.

That all said, on a small scale, it is true.

Not too sure about carting around an extra 30 kgs all the time as opposed to some evaporation in the tank.

So for me I would not be running around with at least a half a tank. Also when you use your whole tank you can usually spread it out between fuel price drops.

About the sludge thing... depends on the condition of the tanks! How old is the service station you fill up at? The newest places will have the cleanest fuel, ceteris paribus.
