Hi All,

I own a 2007 Hilux Workmate ute 2.7l VVT-i...its a 4-door and i have speakers in the front and have bought the right size speakers to fit in the back..i was just wondering how to take off the door cards in the back?

i've checked it out and from what i can see there is two screws..one in the door handle..one in the door grove where you rest your arm..and this wierd plug thing on the edge of the door card..i didnt know exactly how to take the window winder off...

so i was bascially just wondering how i could get the cards off...

thanks.

from what ive read it looks like u are just trying 2 take off the door trim off your car yea? i dont understand what a "door card" is..

but yea...

the plugs should go all around the edges of the panel. once you are sure you have all the screws removed, pull off the panel around the sides and bottom edges, then lift the panel up to take it off the door.

reinstalling should be straight forward too.. lower the panel into position, push in the plugs around the edges with a firm hand, then replace the screws.

(DISCLAIMER- this is a general guide, ive never tried this on a hilux, but ive done this on a few other cars.)

you have a manual window winder?

normally theyd have a metal clip holding it in place.

there is a specific tool you can use to unclip it..

looks like fork with only 2 kinda wide prongs that push both sides of the clip.. or you can use an appropriate sized flat screwdriver and push it into the space between the door panel and the window winder.

once that is off, you can pull the winder out.
