Has anyone done any mods yet??

I'm looking at maybe lowering mine a bit, but undecided at the moment.

Are there any engine mods that can be done cheaply???

I've done the following: No Mechanical changes to the drivetrain at this stage..

Lowered 55mm

18" Wheels

New JBL Amp, 6x9 speakers, LC6i signal convertor, Dynamat on doors

Tint

Lowering it, and adding wider wheels made a huge dufference to the handling.

When you say handling, is it smoother (ie. not as rough) than the stock?

more of the opposite, handling would be round corners, the car rolls less and more firm and is not going to lose it as much.

It will be a more bumpier ride because the springs will be more stiffer, 19-20" in rims will also add to the harshness as well...

As long you dont regularly go over bumpy roads etc, its all good, otherwise prepare to get kidney problems in a few years down the track lol.

- upgraded front and rear speakers to MB Quart Premium Splits

- 2x 12" Rockford Punch Subs

- 1 Amp to power subs, 1 Amp to power splits

- Rockford 3Sixty.1

- Tint

- Sound deadening of front doors and boot.

Will wait couple more years to get 18 inch rims. Not planning to lower it though.

I want to keep mine stock stock stock!

No need to worry about scraping the bottom over humps

No need to worry about the wife kerbing the rims

No need to worry about getting pulled over and defected!

No need to have my teeth jarred from overstiff suspensions

Drive comfortably without the drone of a loud exhaust (Exhaust systems sound horrible on auto's anyway)

If I wanted the above, I'd just take out my 2 litre EG Honda Civic. LOL

I personally wouldn't bother about CAI to be honest.

Agree..If you do CAI, you should do Exhaust, when you do both, you should get a computer.

Ahhh...If I were to modify my Aurion, well, first thing I'd probably do would be to change the Brake Pads and tyres.

I wouldnt do a CAI for the aurion, last time i looked at the engine bay its already got a CAI.

just change the panel filter to a K'n'N one or something.. it would be more effective and you wont get defected hehe

but then you'd be missing out on the ROARRR

F#CK that looks good in white. Love your work. Who lowered it 55mm? TRD springs or after market jobbies?

Hey guys, I took off the mufflers today, and ran the car for a bit!

You get a deeper note, but only a little bit louder. (the resonator does it's job TOO well)

It's still quieter than a stock WRX.

So I've decided to put TWO XFORCE cannons on!

This will be the new VAREX with the remote control butterfly valve, so it will be loud loud, with maybe a little gain.

But I'll be able to control the volume of the noise from the exhaust!

check it out here guys

http://www.autoxcess.com.au/default.asp

I'll keep you guys posted, and let you know how it goes!

If I have time, i'll take a video and post it.

The whole thing is costing about $900

There was a guy from repco there when i went to get my exhaust looked at.

So he took my dimensions for a K&N panel filter and said he'd try get one made... (there is no K&N filter that will fit right now)

so hopefully soon we will have our own filter guys!
