Anyone know if it is even possible to get them?

i contacted my local dealer's service manager asking for workshop manual and wiring diagrams for my car.

he contacted Toyota and came back to me to say that Toyota aren't going to produce a cd version or paper version of any manual for the car.

Because Toyota dealers access those documents online from Toyota directly.

Is this a forever thing?

Does anyone know anyone important that could get these?

Is Toyota trying to limit knowledge on the cars permanently or is it something they might bring out after warranty's expire?

Last I heard was Toyota was switching to a central database system. So unless you know someone in Toyota with access to download and burn them you might have to wait for the Haynes manuals (from memory their wiring diagrams are nothing spectacular).

I'd expect public access to become available at a price, the same as in the US and Europe

does the auris/corolla section of that site apply to the Australian model?

no body mentioned anything about them being available for a price when i spoke to Toyota.

you need to speak to the right people at TMC, not a dealer service/spares department.
