Grinding noise on rear brakes @ low speed

Hey there,

I know everyone would tell me to do a search but yeh, I did search and most of the info/advice i found wern't directly related to me so I thot i would post it up see if anyone can tell me whats wrong.

I put in my strut brace couple of weeks ago and since then i've been going around corners harder then i had.. its all fun until the past few days.. (almost once or twice a day) I start my car and start driving @ low speed in a car park and once i brake the rear suspension/brakes just makes a grinding noise, it happens on the first or second brake i make and then its gone after that.. its quite loud to be honest so it scares me abit.

Just wondering if its time to change rear brake pads or isit something else wrong? suspension or shocks? maybe?

Thanks for ya help!

The rear brakes pads last ages since they do very little braking.

The noise we are talking about, is it like the noise race brakes make? If so check the rear pads anyway to make sure there is still some meat there. I just learn to live with the noise, plus it gives it the race car sound :P

It's a squeaky/grinding noise and if you listen closely they say "when I'm warmer I bite like a motha f@cka"

In all seriousness I've had thousands of brake noises front and rear so just wait it out and see if it disappears. Badboyz always says there might be a stone caught in there :

Alright, i finally know whts causing the noise,

it seems to be no meat left on the brake pads (sigh my ignorance should shoot me :P) and now my pads r grinding againts the rotor im gna send it in to be machined and stuff so yeh :)
