hey

can some1 give instructions on how to put a speaker level input into an amp. i searched this forum and other forums but couldnt find a straight answer. is it a simple case of connecting one of the speaker wires to the amp or is there somethning more to it. and yes i did use the search button. any help is appreciated

wait... basically what u are asking is if you can connect your stock stereo to your amp without using the RCAs?

if so, i can help with this

was asking for a basic explanation of how to do it. i figured it out anyways.

if any1 else wants to know its just a matter of chopping the speaker cables ( suggest the rears as you wont miss them) and feeding this signal into the speaker level input in the amps. the rest of the install is the same as usual.i have photos somewhere of parts of the process if any1 wants them or more specific instructions pm me. its pretty easy though.

this would affect the quality of the signal being received by the amp. its debatable whether it will have a noticeable effect on the sound. especially if your only running a sub off it but regardless. and there really is no need for the rear speakers anyway as they have very little effect on the sound in the front. unless you regularly have back seat passengers, in which case installing a sub might not be the best choice.
