Ok, driving home from work late one night, dropped off a mate and bottomed out my front bumper on the curb.

now there are these ugly deep scratches and chunks missing from my bumper and that horrible white colour that concrete leaves on your car. black car, very noticeable.

just wondering if any one has suggestions to fix it, just touch up paint....or???

Thanks!!

Depends. Since its the bumper it's really hard to fix (plastic et al). Best bet if you claim insurance is they'll replace the whole bumper, since you said 'chunks' are missing.

If it's scratches you can take it to panel&paint and get the area painted (I've done this before to my car, and no it won't be a bad job if the bloke knows what he's doing). I had a person riding a bike scratch the front bumper of my car with his pedal and paddling off. left a 30cm scratch. took it to a panel&paint shop close to vic park and got it patched up (painted) for $300.

I got no idea how to do it myself..so i thought it's safe to leave it to professionals.

good luck.
