Allo, when i bought my car it was already tinted (2nd hand car). The tint looks very well done and as far as quality wise it looks great (done by tru-tint/tru-seal i think)

anyway, my question is that i dont think the tint on the car is dark enough so is it possible to tint over existing tint or will they have to scrape off whats on there already (possibility of scratching the windows maybe??) and redo it, is it even possible at all?

Just curious if any one has had any experience with retinting at all

Thanks guys

Hi..if u have a layer of existing tint and u want to retint..the tinting place will just tear the tint out for u but u have to pay extra :)

I think if u tint on top of the existing tint..might be too dark..it all depends what tint u have on now..n what tint u want to tint on top..

I m having similar problem, wat i am doing now is, pay the tint-person to remove the original tint for $80-100(coz i lazy to do it myself n dont wanna cause any damage)

then they tint a new on.. i think MOST tinting shop will tell u the same thing.
