6spd Sportivo / new corolla

Out of interest... whilst browing the C-one site for parts I cannot afford or justifiably make use of I notice they seem to list the gear set for the (what I assume) is the Sportivo which seems to be compatable/exchangable with the new corolla 6 spd. Was new 6 spd developed/progressed from the Sportivo gearbox? Or am I totally misinterpreting the parts listings here?

As far as i know, there are no C-one internal parts available for the ZRE152 Corolla (current model)

The previous model Corolla's do have parts available for them. As I stated above, the 2ZZ gear box parts are for the 2ZZ-GE Corolla Sportivo. These parts also fit into the Jap delivered MR2 which uses the 1ZZ engine but matched with a 6sp manual (aus only got tiptronic I think)

So I just read it wrong, 6 spd for 1zz-fe just for the MR-S(2) then.

So the 8spd of newest corolla has no similarities, ie cannot be switched from new one to sportivos ?

just wondering if they were cross transplantable.

new corollas run the 2zr engine

might get lucky with engine mounts seeing as its technically still a z series engine.... but doubt the gear boxes are interchangeable
