I'm interest to purchase a pair, but not desperate to jump into a purchase just now.

Maybe be If read me 4X4 mags and BCF Catalogues again over a few beers.

I could just wake up one morning and purchase that OZ tent on the spur of moment that I've been eying of. There awning attaches to the rear of a 4X4 tailgate if one wants to.

For a Saturday overnighter in the mountains near where I live. Could be some fun for the misses and I provided the kids don't Corey our house.

But a instant erect OZ tent requires roof racks due to its rigged length.

SO finally me question,

If any has one, do the genuine Toyota racks create wind noise whilst theres nothing attached to them at highway speed. I used to have a Mobile antenna once that whistled often and became down right bad for noise in foggy conditions on a Commodore.

I believe the Toyota genuine roof bars are Rhino brand with Toyota badge. I'm looking at buying the Rola Sports brand because they look pretty slick. Will need to get them powdercoated to match the silver rails though.

Have you got a link or picture of tent you are talking about? I'm looking into buying a Napier Sportz SUV tent but can't find an aussie retailer yet.

Edit: It's ok, I found site oztent.com.au duh. Ilike the Napier or similar as it completely seals around back of vehicle. Hopefully mozzie proof. Check out the Toyota canada website - they have a tent like this as a genuine accessory! www.toyota.ca

I had genuine toyota roof racks and pro bike carrier installed on delivery. Have done about 900km (~200km hwy driving) with no noise at all up to 110km/hr.

Thanks guys for the feedback, it's much appreciated and now I have no hesitation in getting apair once I proceed with a tent purchase.

I do get noise from ours. You can definitely hear a little rumble from them. If there is also wind coming from a different angle you can hear a bit of whistle from them also.

Its not much and not enought to worry about.
