OK, Here is the plan.

Standard Deck (Why replace something that is quite good already)

Alpine RF series splits in the front

disconnect speakers in back (you don't need them anyway)

Custom housing for 12 inch eclipse sub in boot, im thinking of raising the boot platform so it is flush with the boot lip and making the box to fill the now vacant space betwwen the new height and the spare wheel housing.

Not decided on Amp brand yet but that will go under the driver or passenger seat.

System will look stock but pump out a nice quality of sound.

Im looking at about $1,500 installed.

Has anyone else attempted this ie the boot mods??, anyone got opinions on a better way to do it and keep it hidden??.

Cheers

if ur happy with the stock deck then leave it, im chaning mine tho.

to make sure ur amp never gets stolen take ur chainr out and screw ur amp to the floor underneith.

i dotn recommend putting ut woofer like that, u might get **** sound even it it looks good. u should build the box to the specs of the woofer u buy, they have tested it and thats how ull get the best sounds(but loose boot space)

and u dont want to disconnect the rear speakers! trust me u need them on. itll sound heaps better.

they will b there for fill(to fill the frequence gap between the lows of the woofer to the highs of ur fronts). even if u leave the sotck ones itll b better then having none.

Ive kept the stock deck and it sounds great, i put a woofer in, Lost about 1/4 of the boot though. I like the splits that are in there. I left the back speakers plugged in because u need that fill sound
