Hey guys,

I have the original 6 stack mp3 player in my levin, and i find it annoying to say that when playing mp3s and its a very long track, everytime you turn the ignition off and back on it restarts the whole track from the start. <_<

Therefore long tracks are not an option to put on a cd as i cant be bothered fastforwading the track each time i start the car. :(

Just wondering if all the 6 stack on the levin model are like this.

Thanks..

All the factory mp3 capable head units do this. I'm not sure if the after market head units have improved lately, but I've got an old mp3 capable one and it did it too.

That annoyed me aswell, I've got a clarion deck that doesn't do that and just picked up a Pioneer TV Deck tonight, hoping that doesn't do it either lol...

The new model corrolas 2008+ don't have a pause like that when you try to play an MP3 CD - they even remember whereabouts in the track you were and it plays from there. I've often wondered about trying an upgrade for my 2004 car, but it's 6CD so you can always just split tracks up and spread them over normal CDs or something :P

Hrmm .. I've been wondering about that!

I'm not interested in upgrading to an aftermarket player, so i'll have to avoid listening to dj sets / mixes .. which is a bit dissapointing.

You dont necessarily have to avoid listening to it, as there are cue files for dj sets as well fortunately :D .

Thats the only solution for the dilemma.

Beats starting the 2 hour track from the start.
