TRD pod filter

Just recently bought myself a trd cai and im stoked with it....but im running 18x7.5 wheels and have no inner guards in, so im wondering if water getting thrown off the wheel will cause any problems to the filter??? Has this happened to anyone else and were there problems??

well a pod filter should traditionally be enclosed to stop hot air and water getting in, so i dont think it is a good idea having it exposed like that with no inner guard.

my inner guard has been shaved off from me not replacing a bolt on properly and i also have my pod exposed.

what i did was went down to Bursons and purchased a pod filter heat shield and it does wonders.

however since you have a TRD pod filter, they are pretty big and the shield will not cover the whole filter.

maybe get a smaller pod filter or shop around for a bigger heat shield.

off the top of my head, my heat shield costs like $20?
