Hi all.

Our TCR10 Tarago ('94 model) has developed a rather loud and annoying high pitched metallic squeal when the aircon is switched on. It typically lasts for a few seconds before disappearing. The AC system hasn't been regassed for ages. I'm suspecting that the compressor might be on the way out but thought I'd seek confirmation. The lack of suitable info detailing the operation and troubleshooting procedures for the AC system is a little frustrating. I am also aware of the refrigerant handling issues.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Flo

check belt tension and condition and being an older vehicle, check pulley condition.
