hi all,

does anyone know if the factory 05 corolla sportivo has a aux input in the back of the head unit?

im looking at adding an ipod connector from xcarlink and it says it has one for the 05 corolla shape. i just need to confirm this before i buy the adaptor.

Any help is appreciated.

thanks, steve

No there isn't an aux in with stock decks, if you really have to keep it in there get an FM modulator for your iPod.

late 06 and up models got six. Remember alsmost all the models

Are interchangable and the only difference is colour

hmm ok thanks...

fm modulator is not an option at this stage, i rather have a cable in the glove box instead of a cradle hanging right near the shifter.

Brad - what do you mean that late 06 and up models got six? the 05 corolla sportivo has the factory 6 disc mp3 changer in it.

cheers

No stinger have an FM modulated module that even charges your iPod and yes the cable can be left in the glove box.

You have your terminology slightly wrong. Xcarlink uses the CD Changer port on the back of a headunit, which isn't exactly the same as an AUX port (at least not a 3.5mm aux port). Having said that, your Corolla's headunit should have a CD Changer port at the back, and should be compatible with Xcarlink. Pictures of your headunit would help however.
