Rear sway bar

Recommended Posts

hey guys

i just picked up a Kmac rear sway bar for my 2004 corolla, and was just wondering if anyone out there had installed one themselves. Is it possible to install yourself or should i take it to a suspension place? I also heard that you had to drill into the chassis, is this true?

just 2 bolts no drilling. loosen the 2 bolts that are securing the original bar and remove the bar. then put in the new bar and tighten the 2 bolts. you might need to jack up the back of the car first so you can get underneath. the 2 bolts are usually very tight and you would need to use a lot of strength to loosen them.

Same one, as Kcorro said, remove the existing one by removing the two bolts at either end, then replace with the new one, be sure to put it in the right way up. As Kcorro said the bolts are very tight so you'll need leverage when loosening and tightening.
