Hello,

Just wondering if anyone can help me...

I recently installed a kenwood head unit into my 98 toyota starlet. I have now lost my parking lights and instrument lights.

I was thinking this may be due to the factory head unit having a spare wire which when the lights are turned on lit up the head unit and as the new head unit doesnt need this wire it somehow broke the circuit.

otherwise it is a fuse but I have checked them all.

can anyone help me??

You've grounded to your illumination wire - cut your ground wire, tape it off at the factory loom end, then reground the wire coming from the headunit loom by using a ring terminal and drilling it into some metal chassis.

You'll then have to replace your illumination fuse.
