  1. I have a set of ported headers here. They aren't doing me any good sitting in my shed, so you can have them for $100. Never been fitted to a car, bought them and ported them myself for something to do and have sat around since then. $100, send me a PM if you're interested and I will give you some contact details.
  2. No offence to anybody, but I just don't find Asian women attractive - I do agree they have an absolutely fascinating culture and a lot (especially those born in Asia) have a completely different mindset to 'Aussie' girls.
  3. If it's a Bosch, rebuild it with Falcon/Commodore internals. If you're feeling extra tricky, you could try and fit a late series BMW alternator as these have quite a bit of grunt. Are you still running the factory battery?
  4. Some of my friends were talking about competing, I'm not sure what the requirements are but I'm sure it would be on the website. I'm currently flying down with three or four mates, and know about fifteen people all up that are going down to the event. I've been thinking of doing it, need to do a couple things to my car to make it meet CAMS requirements. But the main thing stopping me from entering so far is work taking there sweet time in telling me if I'm going to Perth or not. Pffffffffffft work, who needs it? Currently in the middle of booking our accomodation and corporate box (overlooking the pits ;))

  6. I don't know if you guys just aren't familiar with the Superlap setup, but there's a little teaser. Consider most of these cars are around 550hp and weigh around the 1000kg mark, they are expected to be faster around Eastern Creek than the V8 Supercars. This is basically the biggest track racing event to EVER come to Australia. Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load! Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  7. Quoted directly from somebody else on another forum. Who else is thinking of heading to this epic, EPIC event? I am planning on flying down, will stay at Formule 1 Hotel in Wentworthville (about ten minutes from Eastern Creek). Rooms are for 2 people by default so if somebody wants to share accomodation that'd be great. http://www.superlap.com.au/ CHALLENGER LIST http://www.superlap.com.au/2009/?p=1722 Also there is a small matter of this Japanese driver coming down to steer :o
  8. As above + you have absolutely no chance whatsoever of beating a BA+ XR6t if you actually went for a REAL drag (not light to light rubbish). Added displacement + excellent engine + boost = absolutely killer. They also handle reasonably well for a larger car.
  9. Mandrel bent is a complete waste of time and most importantly money on a Paseo. I am not being an ***** - I am being truthful.
  10. *Lose the cannon *16" wheels are the upper limits to what I'd run, 15" are even better *Extractors do make a fair bit of difference, Hurricane or Tiger headers are pretty cheap and work a lot better than the Pacemakers. *If you're paying more than $400 for a catback system, you're getting ripped off *2" catback is all I would run, any bigger and it's going to sound terrible. *CAI is pretty easy to do, all you need is a 3" 45* and a 3" 90* plus a small vacuum fitting. All you're required to do is cut them to length and weld it up, or even just join them with a silicone joiner. *King springs aren't great if you still want your car to handle decent. Don't forget that most EP92 Starlet stuff will bolt onto your car - I'd found a set of low km TRD adjustables for $500, they would handle MUCH better than just Kings. *Finally, make sure you get a Superpro bush kit and have them installed. It will make a HUGE difference.
  11. Car is now at my brothers place and I have 5 weeks of paid holidays, so there's a good chance I'll have time to do more. I want to sort out the rust now, only that, oil lines and coilovers stopping me from having it on the road.
  12. Check you haven't blown your constant power fuse dude.
  13. Do a complete service and try to pull up any logged ECU errors. Should give you something to start with. As it's dying under load, I'd be looking at the ignition side of things.
  14. Thanks for coming out guys, delicious sushi was delicious. Phil; you missed out big time.
  15. do you think i will get more km out of a tank and also will it give me performance increase. here are the engine specs Displacement, cc 1587 Engine model 4A-FE Max.power (Net), kw(PS)/rpm 110 ps (80.91 kw) / 5800 rpm Max.torque(Net), N*m(kg*m)/rpm 15.2 kg*m (149.06 N*m) / 4600 rpm Power density 9.91 Engine type Serial 4 cylinder DOHC16 valve Engine information Fuel system EFI (electronic fuel injection) Turbocharger No Fuel type Unleaded regular gasoline LEV system (Low emission vehicle) No Compression ratio 9.5 Bore, mm 81 Stroke, mm 77 Final gear ratio Fuel consumption at 10-15 modes, l/100km 7.2 Fuel consumption at 60 km/h, l/100km you may see a slight gain in fuel economy, but as DJKOR said... its probably not worth it. Nope, not gonna happen. Unless you're planning big dollars on a NA build, so much cheaper to put a GE/GZE/GZE converted to GTE to get more power.
  16. No worries, booked a table for ten so there's plenty of seats. Had some terrible sushi last night just so I can appreciate the sushi there tonight that much more :P
  17. Ok, booking is made for tomorrow night at 7:30. I've booked for a few more than have put their name down in case anybody else shows up. Address is Shop 2, 70 Pinelands Road Sunnybank Hills, chances are you will have to park at the shops just up the road (if you're coming from the south, you will pass a 7/11 and then at the next set of lights turn right - that is the shopping centre car park). If you have any hassles, call me on 0430290810. See you all then.
  18. From memory (it's been about a year and a half since I looked at a Lancer) you simply fold down the side trims in the boot and the lights are like... right in front of you.
  19. I need numbers ASAP guise, booking tomorrow afternoon.
  20. Muffler is finished, just need to get the car up on a hoist to finish the exhaust.
