1ZZ-FE powerout put and mods

Recommended Posts

hi, im andrew and new to the site. i am a proud owner of a 2004 corolla ascent in black. its now got black alloy rims that i got. pretty light weight rims.

i was wondering wat can i do wit the 1ZZ-FE motor? wat is the stock rating power atw is?

i plan to get a axel back muffler (cannon like the trust power extreme 2) and a filter (cold air intake) and a SAFC-2. would these mods be able to get the car close to the 100kW atw?

has anyone got cams? will it make the differences?

TRD CAI + Magnaflow rear muffler + new flywheel = 94kw atw for me add an SAFC-II and i would get close if not 100kw, all depends on what your stock output it tho get it on a dyno and see what you get

Whats your 1/4 mile time Northy?

I'm curious as to if there is anything mechanically different with the sports version of the ascent. My Rolla ran a 17.4 best down the strip.

I would assume my output to be around 85kw roughly, havn't had it dynoed yet.

My mods are TRD CAI, Remus exhaust (from cat back), Genie headers

After I get the exhaust completed I think il get myself a dyno reading of the car.

are u talking about max?

or just for 1/4 mile?

cos sin't the new one 100kw

the rollas i mean...the whole range cept for stivo

they are advertised by toyota as 100 kw 1zzfe (141 kw 2zzge) at the engine and the numbers the guys are using above are from the front wheels because power is loss through the drive.

All manufacturer's quote the power the engine develops at the flywheel.

The power figure quoted above are what the cars are producing at the wheels ( Obtained by putting the car on a dyno ).

For Example Gen 3 HSV 250kw at flywheel - 198kw at wheels

2ZZ-GE Corolla 141kw at flywheel - Approx 105kw at wheels

1ZZ-FE Corolla 100kw at flywheel - Approx 80kw at wheels
