Guys,

Another question!!

I recently completed my audio upgrade.

I am now running 2 amps (1 for Sub, 1 for Front/Rear)

I am running 4 Gauge wire from the battery to a fused dist block, with 8 gauge going to each amp.

The grounding has been done in the boot for both amps.

I recently had sub/fronts hooked to my sony amp, now its front and rear. I have never had a problem with amp until now.

When my volume goes above 10 the amp goes into protection – Note its only the Sony (Front/Rear) that does this, the sub amp pumps till 40 and above with no loss.

I suspect of my ground, however because I cant check it straight away im stressing if it could be anything else.

I cant see power being an issue because the other amp is on fine.

Note that from 11am – 4pm yesterday I was enjoying the sound completely.

To see if it was a load issue I unplugged one set of RCAs – Problem still occurred.

Input needed ASAP - Cheers

im guessing you need to look for faulty fuse on said amp.... otherwise, could be internal damage, i reckon...

and this is just my opinion, but Sony car audio products aren't as good as their Home Entertainment range (a whole other story)

but in which case, the theory of you get what you pay for applies

See this is what i dont understand

The amp was working fine till i moved it yesterday (what makes me think its my grounding)

I cant see it being a fuse because it can honestly sit at volume 10 for 4hrs straight, as soon as it gets to 11 shuts off!!

Im going to re ground it tonight and see if it helps.

Thanks for the suggestions, heres hoping its not internal
