Hi guys, long time reader first time poster - great site!

I have recently been having issues with my 92 Paseo. What happens is when it is first started and put on the road it has very sluggish build up of acceleration, at times dropping really low (to the point im worried it might stall, but so far it hasnt; just drops really low and seems to be fine once it has picked up.)

I first thought it might be something to do with fuel so my brother changed my fuel filter, but that didnt do much. After a while he thought it may be something electrical; so he changed my spark plugs, leads, ignition coil and cleaned the distributor cap. I noticed a bit more power, but this didnt eliminate the hesitation in power at start up. It has also recently had a transmission service, but that hasnt affected the issue i am having.

I have since been told it may be low fuel pressure, bad fuel pump, fuel injectors may be dirty or O2 sensor.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be, or has anyone else experienced this. (by the way it is an automatic)

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers everyone!

Sounds like cold fuel maps are buggered, which can come down to a number of things. I'd check the ECU for error codes first (there are a few guides on the net), see if anything gets thrown up.
