i just heard on the radio that if u dont use genuine toyota parts when serviceing and they cause damage to your car it wont be covered by warantee.

just thought id let you guys know.

then they said "its not worth the risk as the price is so competative". what a load of crock.

geniune parts from toyota, which means oil, oil filter, air cleaner etc are actually well priced so your not getting ripped of by toyota. Their labour costs and miscellanous costs during service are where the dirty F*cken B%stards rip u off.

Yeah i totally agree, and the thing is ur not getting the good mechanic to look at ur car, u get the apprentice and in larger mechanic shops if u dont know how to do something u can sort of hide, where as if u got an apprentice at the local mechanic he cant hide because its usually only him and the head mechanic

when u go for your car service u should sit outside the workshop and see wat responsible and senior mechanic does the road tests :P u will never want another service. :(

Stoopid Head, what dealer was that at???

I work at Toyota and I can tell you that it doesn't happen at our work on a normal test...

If we are testing for anything in specific to acceleration or anything to do with power or performance then yes, a good thrashing is done...

Also, Always use Toyota Parts, they are much better for the car... And misc costs are usually around $10 for floor mats, seat covers and waste disposal like regular rubbish and oil disposal...
