I have a 93 toyota corolla, manual transmission. I have a leak coming from the transmission where the axle goes into it. I think its the seal. I was wondering if someone could tell me how to replace the seal. Can I just take the axle out and pull the seal out, or do I have to take off the transmission case cover to get to the seal? Any help would be great. Thanks

Drain the oil, remove the driveshaft, remove the old seal...

Clean up the housing and using a flat object (such as a 1/2 " Extension) hammer in the new seal till it sits flush in the housing... Make sure to only apply pressure to the outside of the seal, hitting the inner edge will stuff the seal...

Once thats in, refit the driveshaft, fill up with new oil and you're good to go :)
