I have a 1989 2lt Twin Turbo with the digital dash. It just got hammerd with some heavy rain. and now there is wat looks to b a warning light... im guessing its something to do with the rear of the car

Hey dood which light are you talking about?

The small orange car with the rear lights on?

If so, thats to warn you that you have a broken taillight or brake light.

I don't know mate. But it may indicate the same fault as the icon.

(They seem to duplicate other warning lights on that bit, like the door open warning light and the round bars on the side and the ESC light and brake rotors etc).

Anyway it seems to be the TEMS (Toyota Electronic Modulated Suspension) light.

yea i do... oh .. that sounds like it could be right.. never thought of it before.. i have replaced the suspension... couldnt afford the toyota ones... just go ordinary ones...

yes tems was a cool feature in the 80's , isnt really noticable unless you put in brand new shocks since the car is that old. you have to use tems compatible shocks though (like Tokico illuminas)not worth the effort in my opinion unless you track your car. check if your tems button in the centre console is pressed down and if you hear a click coming from the rear of the car.its likely you have replaced suspension parts that are not tems compatible leading to malfunctions with the system.
