man i get a code P0500 code from my engine check light... and apparently its the speed sensor? but weirdly my speedo still works.. what could cause this.

recently today i installed a headunit into my car and raised my coilovers.... light only came on after a bumpy road? dunno... please help

These new cars can be pretty touchy. I was speaking to a Toyota Tech when mine threw like 6 different ABS/VSC sensor codes for no apparent reason. He said the sensors can be 'confused' by things as simple as rolling back at a set of lights. HAlf the codes they throw are harmless. It's only when you get a Check Engine Light immeditely after clearing the codes and starting the engine that you should be getting worried about. Slightly less worrying for those that trip when you hit about 60km/h after resetting it.
